Prayer For My Family

Oh Dear Bob,I am so very sorry to hear about your loss,My prayer's are with you and your family,Remember one day GOD call's us all home and he & only he know's when & where we go home,So believe me your son is in good hand's & one day we will all be together in HEAVEN!! Love & Prayer's to your immediate family & of course your crusher family.

Bob, I have been thinking about this a lot lately and as you may or may not know I lost my sister when she was 23 after a very courageous 18 month battle with leukemia. I was 21 and inconsolable. I did not grow up in what you might call a healthy family, so it was a bit of compound trauma. Now we seemed to have develop the relationships I have always prayed for, but at the time, my whole world just shattered, and there was literally no one to turn to there. Luckily, I had some wonderful friends who somehow helped me hold on...one of them wrote me this note on one of those tiny pieces of paper from a notebook that you keep in your pocket and it meant so much to me that I kept it in my purse until it disintegated...I don't know if it will give you any comfort, but....
he said, " I am miserably inept at giving comfort in a situation like this, but there is still beauty in the world and goodness in you and that will just have to be enough." Somehow those words got me through a thousand sleepless nights. I hope that helps and may this bring you the blessings it ultimately brought me, a reconciliation and true relationship with my parents that is beyond any valuation, one of the true joys of my life.

I hope this doesn't sound trite....obviously, I have no idea what you must be dealing with. You are in my thoughts and I only hope this can help in some small way.

bob i am so sorry , my daughter almost died twice, and itwas so hard to take. it souds like you have had the ljesus in his life and i know hes in heaven and will wait with your loveones . my prayers are with you and your family, god bless you all , tc josie46

Footprints in the Sand


One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."
