Yes, my friends, it was devastating! and I don't know what I would have done without the help and comfort from YOU, which is soooooo much appreciated!
One limped back home (just sore feet) 15 hours later.
The other, my Yellow Lab, named Buddy, was in the next town!!! The couple who saw him sleeping in their yard all day, without moving, saw the REWARD sign on his collar and called me! God bless them! AND then they would not, they absolutely refused to take the reward!!! They renewed my faith in humankind!
The entire 48 hours he was gone, I couldn't stop thinking of him lying in a ditch somewhere, cold and hurt and hungry and thirsty and dying and counting on me to "fix" everything.
I told myself, "Never again another doggie." It just could not possibly be worth all the pain I was suffering.
But they are both just fine!!! Worn out but fine!
It was all the things I remembered you all saying that got me through it...... and there is no way to thank you enough!

awe Royal, I so Happy you found your dog's! there like our children years ago, I had a beautiful golden retriever named Tito and he went missing for days, I was going crazy.... but it turned out good the animal control picked him up, he had no tags on him, I just happened to call the animal rescue league and they had him, I was so grateful he was ok. sometimes, you just don't know how much you love something till it's gone.

WOW I don't know how I missed this thread! I didn't know they were missing but I am glad they are back home.
They decided they wanted a little vacation and lookabout
I have seen dogs that have got loose together running around having a great old time exploring and discovering all those new sites sounds and SMELLS.
They look so happy cavorting around - till I am sure they get lost, tired and worn out. Then I am equally sure they are GLAD to be home with warmth, love and food.
But for some dogs it is an addicting rush and try to get out all the time. I hope yours decide home is much better.
GLAD THEY ARE BACK!
