Ah ha, so it sounds to me like it may be what rsablebomb just mentioned then - that because you're in the US (you are in the US, right? - yes, PA, I see now) that apparently they no longer allow any new US members, so they've somehow added something to their programs' coding that keeps US people from being able to download or actually to run the program, I guess.
Sounds like US people who already had the programs on their computer before the policy change are allowed to continue to play, but if you have to reinstall your program for whatever reason, you can't do it. Nor can you if you never had it on your computer before the change. Doesn't that sound like the reason you can't get these to work?
Well, if that IS the case then, one thing you might try is an IP blocker, so that the program can't tell where you are located and might allow it then. Some program that masks your IP address from them, so you're (sort of) anonymous (incognito). However, I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't work either; they may have it programmed so that it won't run if it can't detect your location also. But not necessarily, and I think I would at least try that if nothing else worked. I think there are some free-to-download IP masking programs you can get online.
I would get mad too if I couldn't play those free tournaments- I get in on a lot of them these days!
So good luck with it - hope something works for you soon.
