Oh gosh so many to choose from all that we have visited over the years.... Ocean City, Maryland brings back fond memories and I agree with Beckie, Lake George is really nice too! But my favorite is much closer to home. Champlain Beach on Keuka Lake is close enough that we can go there anytime we choose. Its a nice beach area for swimming and picnicing and if you want a fancier meal The Keuka Maid is docked right next door and you can cruise out on the lake for a nice lunch or superb dinner!

[B] MY FAVORITE BEACH WOULD HAVE TO BE THE ONE BEHIND MANDALAY BAY RESORT AND CASINO..!!!
Now, let me explain before ya'll jump to conclusions here...
I live in middle of the desert in Tucson AZ....so if I wanted to see the beach I had to tune in to Baywatch each week....Additonally, nobody can argue that the scenery at Mandalays beach is breathtaking at times(umm..One of those times is Spring Break ).....Finally, you can actually sit and not move a muscle and delicious, refreshing, alcoholic beverages are delivered right into your slot-exhasuted little hands...
----- No, this isn't Heaven I am describing here ya'll....ITS MY FAVORITE BEACH!!!!

My favorite beach is not located here in the US but in the Mediterranean. It is Hammamet located in North Africa (Tunisia...of course). The sand is so white and the water so blue.
One gets the feeling of being on the Riviera...it has a very European feel to it while being in an Arab country so it is a wonderful blend of culture. This is also where one can find one-of-a-kind handpainted pottery. There are orange groves and the jasmine was in bloom while we were there. There was jasmine everywhere and a big vine that was next to our veranda. Can you imagine how relaxing to go to sleep with the sound of the surf and the smell of fresh jasmine wafting into the room?
It is also the place where I taught my husband to swim! He was scared to death of the water and I coaxed him and reassured him that I wouldn't let him drown. Imagine me holding him by the waist in knee-deep water telling him to kick his feet and move his arms.
I guess we were so preoccupied with the swimming project that we didn't pay much attention to the vast majority of European sunbathers sans the bikini tops.
We loved it so much that we stayed on an extra night because we had such a good time and enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells.

Stanley, I stayed at the Mandalay last November and even though it was only 65 degrees out, we enjoyed that beach as well! SOOO pretty, secluded and realistic!
Favorite beach though, is OurLucaya in the Bahamas. OMG the most beautiful water and beach sand I've EVER witnessed in my life!

There is nothing like watching the smiles on theire faces as they play in the water and just enjoy the simple things in life...it brings many smiles to my face and keeps me warm in the winter thinking of our days at the beach...
