I know it sounds silly but I would rather have pie than cake for my birthday.. I love pies - well just a few particulars like bananna cream pie..

But if I have to choose a cake it would be white with either lemon in the center and a lemon topping or chocolate cake with rasberry filling.

Until a few years ago I always had my favorite Birthday Pie, hot cherry pie with vanilla ice cream on top. Then my sister-in-law made me an Italian Cream Cake (it's a coconut/pecan white cake with cream cheese frosting) and that's my favorite now.
