Christmas Contest #1 - Warming Up & Keeping Warm

Dear Crushers,

Following tradition of our previous years - the birthday party has now finished and now it's time to warm-up for the run-up to Christmas!



We will have a number of prizes of either $3 for 300 CCpoints or $5 for 500 CCpoints. All members may take part UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 5 times / 5 posts.

To have a chance of winning simply tell us one or more things that you always do on the run-up to Christmas (including how you warm-up and/or keep warm) AND including a greeting to your fellow Crushers.

Rules:-

Each post (entry) must contain:-

- a seasonal greeting to your fellow Crushers (preferably a differently worded greeting in each post)
- something you do in the run-up to Christmas and / or how you warm-up / keep warm during the festive season (again - different in each post please)

The drawing of prizes:-

Soon after the end of the contest (20th December 2019) ... the topic will be locked for further entries and ...

All eligible entries will be placed into a random draw of $3 or $5 prizes (for each prize I will simply flip a coin - Heads for a $5 prize, Tails for a $3 prize). The number of prizes will be determined based on the number of individual participants and the number of total entries.

Any member that has posted more than the maximum 5 times will not be eligible for any prizes so please do not post more than 5 times in this contest!

Each member can win more than 1 prize but each post will only be eligible to win one prize (therefore up to a maximum of 5 prizes being the maximum number of posts per member).

Since Christmas is a special baking time for me, I usually start the day after Thanksgiving baking Fruit Cakes, and continue from there with cookies. spiced nuts and white trash, They seem to be enjoyed by all and many look for them.

WISHING ALL OF YOU, THE BLESSING OF LOVE, PEACE, AND JOY ... THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!


RIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING I, START PLANNING OUR FAMILY'S CHRISTMAS EVE GATHERING
IT'S A FAMILY TRADITION, STARTED IN MY YOUTH, AS WE SIBLINGS BEGAN TO GROW UP,
AND MOVE OUT OF THE FAMILY HOME. AND SOMEHOW CHRISTMAS, JUST WASN'T THE SAME!
SO MY SIBLINGS AND I, MADE A PROMISE TO OUR PARENTS THAT THOSE OF US WHO NO LONGER LIVED THERE, IF POSSIBLE?
WOULD ALWAYS COME HOME ON CHRISTMAS EVE, AND SPEND A FEW HOURS WITH THEM CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS TOGETHER AGAIN...
AS A FAMILY!
AND STILL TODAY, WE REMAING SIBLINGS GET TOGETHER UNDER THE SAME ROOF (MINE NOW) ON CHRISTMAS EVE
TO SHARE A SIMPLE MEAL AND EXCHANGE SOME GIFTS AND JUST BE A FAMILY, THEN WE GO TO OUR OWN HOMES ...
TO WAIT FOR SANTA OR WHATEVER LOL

i havnt done any xmas shopping and i definitely havnt been baking anything yet coz da only thing thats been baking in this heatwave that we are going through in australia is me.

i have been keeping cool by sitting in my frens spa and sipping on cheap wine while slotting away

I secretly buy Alan a present (we decided years ago we didn't need to) and then have it shipped when he's not home. Then I have to wrap it when he's not around and bunch it in with the other presents so it's a total surprise. I keep warm by sipping hot lemon water.

MAY THE BEAUTY OF THIS HOLIDAY SEASON ... WARM YOUR HEART'S AND YOUR HOME'S!


AFTER GETTING THE PLAN'S IN ORDER FOR OUR CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY GATHERING,
THE GRANDKIDS AND I, WILL PUT UP THE CHRISTMAS TREE!
ALWAYS, ON MY BIRTHDAY DECEMBER 13TH,
BECAUSE IT'S 12 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS ... ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TRADITION!

OH YEAH, I DID CLEAN THE LIVING ROOM BEFORE PUTTING UP THE TREE,
I SAVE THE WHOLE HOUSE CLEANING FOR THE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

After all the cookies are baked --- I make 4 boxes to give to 4 of my neighbors for them to enjoy. The oven on keeps me warm. I also supply 3 of my bowling leagues with cookies and the men are just waiting for me to bring them.
