We've had a tradition for the last 7 years (since I moved next door to my daughter). On Christmas morning, as soon as they get up, my daughter, son-in-law and grandson walk over in their pajamas and I cook a big southern breakfast. We chow down, then open presents in front of the fireplace. To me, it's everything Christmas morning should be: food, fun and family.

I started doing this almost 50 years ago....Because I would much rather spend time with family than being in the kitchen, I grill some stakes and serve them up with an easy scalloped potato dish and a nice salad. It has become our traditional Christmas dinner, time in the kitchen is kept to a minimum and everyone is happy
