You know it would be great to live in a country where the traditions are kept going.....as in people taking the time to share the experience of hand painting eggs for easter. Here in Australia.....well they fill they shops with choclate eggs months before easter....its all become too commercial......and they wonder why families are splitting up.
As far as eggs left over....2 kids and a basket of chocolate eggs never lasts long in this house.

We always pre-make home fried chicken- to be served cold. Along with potato salad- awaiting the eggs. Then after the kids donate some back to us, we add them in and head to the park for play, family time, and some delicious grubbin' with no messy cleanup later on.
