Marlene Is In The Hospital....prayers Please

Hello everyone......hugs and love from Marlene. I just spoke to her on the phone and she says" Thank you all so very, very much for your love and prayers. I can feel them working. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo"

She is currently in a support device for her shoulder, and the docs say they will see if the shoulder will mend on its own, before they commit to surgery. Her breathing is doing much better, though she still has nebulizer treatments. She is being given shots and pills for her pain, so she is in only mild discomfort unless she forgets and tries to use her right arm. (she is right handed ).

She also said right now, she couldn't wait for a ciggie....lol....I told her to be patient and the time will come for her to have one...lol

more later... she said goodnight and was falling a sleep....

just left the hospital mom is sitting up in a chair arm in sling and taking her nebulizer...the doc was there and i asked how her "breathing" sounded and she said much better (but she was using the nebulizer at the time also)
they are looking to do more exrays and double check some things before they move her to a rehab center to see if she can heal her fracture without surgery but she will be in the hospital at least until tomorrow (she told the doctor she didn't want to go to rehab and the doc said "oh yes you are" i agree 100% she is still too weak to be at home!
she did send {{{{{{{{GREAT BIG HUGS}}}}}} and kisses and her love to you all (dont hug too hard back it hurts her arm lol) so i said i would pass them on

just talked to mom and she is doing a lot better you can hear it in her voice
she is getting moved to healthsouth rehab center to try and heal the break(after more xrays it is a break not just a fracture) @6pm tonight they thought she might have mersa(or what ever thats called the infection thats so bad these days) but tests not back she will be there for at least one week probly 2 depending on how it heals
your prayers are working folks thank you!!!!!
she misses everyone and she is very excited to get healed up and back to the forums asap and wants to make sure you all know how much she appreciates your prayers and love and kind thoughts!!

Great news, Shawn!

Glad she will be out of that hospital.

The rehab center worked wonders for my Mom's health! Be encouraged by that! She is almost 90 and the rehab center seemed to take 10 - 15 years off her looks and feelings.

Marlene, I feel so bad for all of your troubles. You will be in my thoughts and prayers also.

just talked to mom she is doing well they put a nicotine patch on her and it made her sick so thay are taking turns letting her go outside to smoke LOL thats my mommy her way or the highway ROFL
she said she is not allowed to do anything by herself (good thing) as far as moving around
therapy is going good and the oxy helps with the pain but makes her sweat and a little "jumpy"
im sicker than a dog (think i have a touch of the flu) so i havent seen her today but she sounds in great spirits
she said to tell you all and i quote her " when i get home you will not be able to shut me up and the chatters will wish i was back at the hospital" ROFL as slow as she types i bet you will all be okay ROFL
