*like To Edit My Post*

I know there is that little box that says preview down there...lol But, sometimes I forget to do that & hit submit first!! Then I see my post & to my horror.. a spelling mistake or some other somethin' is staring me in the face!! I wish I could somehow go back & "edit" my post... Anyone else feel the same???

Yes, many times I've wanted to go back because I forgot to put something or want to add something even after I've previewed. It would be nice to be able to edit if the system will allow it.

I understand what your saying, and i sometimes would like to edit my posts, but i have in the past in another forum had a little disagreement with another person and found that they were editing their posts after they made them. Also, i think not having an edit function should make people think before they post something.

In the long run i believe this a good thing

i think everyone overlooks typos and minor mistakes can be corrected with a followup post. Boris has an excellent point with his experiences at other forums. Plus, if it was something you really need deleted or changed, OC or Geno I'm sure would help with your concerns about an errant post.

I agree with boris also, I think not having the "edit" button makes you think twice about what you are about to post, and I agree with al as well, if you forgot to add something, just make a follow-up post...or maybe a button that you could add to your post, but, not take away from it

The guys were right on target this time! I shudder to think of all the communication problems that it would cause!!!

If we were all perfect, it would be different. But NONE of us is! And personally, I would rather be a kind, compassionate, forgiving human being than a perfect one! Even if it means I will sometimes make mistakes and sometimes act with bad judgement.

OJ, I am so proud of you for being open-minded enough to be flexible and change your mind when presented with logic and reason to do so!

And proud of the guys, too, for thinking with insight and understanding!

I'm sure glad it's understood why we don't allow that option - I could add a bunch more but I won't lol

lol personally i think its good that you can't edit posts..you can tell sometimes when you just know someone has said something they didn't mean too... and all the fun would be gone if they could change it without sad people with a weird sense of humour like me reading them lol
