Game Points?tournaments?

geno why dont you have people use cc points to buy into your game tourneys? because we all get the same amount of points when it starts but
It would be more like a tourney if you could charge everyone cc points to get into it and all the people who join get the pot full of everyones buy ins? just trying to help!

(This would replace the free game points each month - you would buy in with, say, 500 cc-points to join in and buy 1000 game points for the month. The winner would receive all the cc-points from all members entry 'fees').

We'll see how the poll lies at 31st May and start next month if there's at least 20 yes's and this beats the 'no's..

I agree that you have great games here. But maybe we can buy-in with our "monthly" game-points, and not with cc-point.

I've changed the original post to end of May now for voting.

9 member votes is not really enough to change it. I would like to see 25+ at least.

Sorry I didn't mention this vote in the last contests mailer, Jojo, I will do this next time and we'll see how things are at the end of the month.

The last couple of months have been very busy for me, but I will take some time to come up with revised rules that we would use if we go this route..

Basically, it's how to manage the cc-points and game points in a realistically manageable way I need to think about how to do this.

It would be something like this - but this is not for definte..
Rather than 1000 game points when you join, I'd have to make this zero.
You could then buy game points with cc-points if you wish (you could buy as many as you like, limited only to your cc-points balance). This is done using 'exchange'. I can't limit exchange only to 1000 cc-points -> 1000 game points. It just doesn't have that functionality built in and would take a lot of work.

Then, it's the prize.. not sure how to manage that.

Alternatively, I could stop members being able to exchange cc-points to game-points themselves and only allow this by posting an opt-in reply to a game points contest topic and I would adjust your game points and cc-points manually (which although is possible, is quite a lot more work, which I'd prefer to spend finding deals and promotions really, but we'll see).

I'll put my thinking cap on later and see if I can make this idea better hehe..
