I truly believe it would depend on the case and how much exposure it had because a lot of information can get twisted.

I have only been on a jury once as an alternate and it was right when I turned 18...It really depends on the case, but of course I would try my best to be impartial and I would disclose any leanings during selection if possible. I guess the main thing is to put aside snap judgements and realize that a person is innocent until proven guilty, and for me that would require a lot of hard evidence. I can't stand it when the whole case is a bunch of circumstantial evidence and character attacks.

I do not think I could be impartial at all. I would not be the best person for jury duty at all.

i could be impartial but i would rather not serve on a jury. i wouldn't want to be held responsible if someone was found guilty and later found out they was innocent.

Great question Sarah!
I've been called for jury duty 4 times, 3 times I was picked, the last time I was the head juror.
The last time really ticked me off because I was called on a friday, I got off work every friday at noon, so I still had hope I'd get home at least by then .... Oh hell no .... 8 pm and was very close to having to spend the weekend before they decided to make a plea.
Innocent or guilty by the time noon rolled around I was ready to send him up the river without a paddle!!! grrrr LOL Just kidding. LOL
I can ... if I HAVE to be impartial, I just don't like it!!! LOL

Over half or 3/4 of them don't think they could be impartial... WOW that really is food for thought! I hope I am never in the position to have a jury trial. hahahahha
