Loch Ness Loot is a 25 line game, with colorful, cartoonish characters ranging from the usual alphabetic letters, to cameras, newspapers, snapshots, canoes and a happy fisherman. The scatter is a bag of gold coins. The minimum wager for the game is a quarter, and the maximum wager is $25.00 per spin.
Bonus Round:
The bonus round, or 8 free spins, is triggered with a left to right combination of three adorable “Nessie's,” three bags of coins, or any combination of the two. During the bonus round, all pays are doubled, and the featured can be retriggered.
Loch Ness Loot is a fun game to play, and although the bonus round does not seem to come around very often, and, in my experience, does not have the extremely high pays that games like Count Spectacular or Glitz and Glamour tend to have, there is a “win-win” feature at the end of the game that will payout after the completion of the bonus round, with a payout of up to 150 times your bet, depending on how much you won during the round (please see images for chart of win-win feature payouts). This feature only kicks in if your bonus round winnings are less than 8 times your original bet. I won this once on a dollar bet, and after getting about three dollars from the entire bonus round, I was nicely surprised to receive 150.00 from the “win-win” feature added to my balance at the very end of the bonus round.
The largest amount I've won on a quarter bed is $25.00, and on a dollar, the $150 I mentioned in the bonus round information. I have not noticed that this slot pays off better on a quarter than a dollar, and have no “system” for winning the game. I do have a theory, however, that the win-win featured can be triggered by quickly running through the free spins by clicking the spin button immediately after every free spin. This may sound crazy, but if my free spins are not paying well I try this and sometimes it works for me. The problem, of course, is that the multiplier is usually far short of the 150 times your bet max.
Compared to other slots, Loch Ness Loot is not one of my favorites. I like to play new games, and l have played Loch Ness Loot many times, and have experienced a consistent loss on the game. As for graphics, I find that the newer RTG slots are very colorful and graphics are fun and interesting. The audio for RTG games, however, has a far way to go to compete with other casinos, such as Playtech and Microgaming which are no longer available in the United States. Also I personally would not spend much time on Loch Ness Loot, I’m sure my experience has differed from that of other players, and of course, this is just my extremely subjective point of view.
FYI: Regarding the screen shots, I have attached the feature information pages, as well as a game shot. After playing on and off for about an hour, I was unable to provide a winning shot for this game.
