Wow crushers, that was really a most interesting read 
4 pages of 'the good 'ole days' It was most interesting for me being from UK where I guess things are a little bit different, but I guess not quite so different when we think about what was good and what we miss..
Penny chews was my thing - in fact we used to have 'half-penny' chews - they were called Mojo chews and I could fill a bag for less than 25p (my weekly pocket money for buying sweets - or 'candy' as you call it hehe).
I think I'm in the '80s and 90s' being my 'retro' time - lots of parties, great music (yep even the 80s lol - cheese was king lol) and all the college and uni parties, and of course not forgetting all the hardcore dance stuff I used to go nuts jumping around to.
