Massachusetts May Ban Online Gambling

BOSTON, MA. -- What if you were free to gamble at a casino but could get jail time if you gamble online? That's what Massachusetts residents will face with Governor Deval Patrick's anti-online gambling clause.

A provision in Patrick's bill to license three casinos in the state would include $25,000 fines and prison terms of up to two years for online gamblers.

Imagine if you were free to gamble at a casino, but could face jail time for gambling online. Well, that could soon be a reality, if the Massachusetts casino plan passes.








Patrick has declined to explain the rationale, but some experts say the move may be an attempt to set up a gambling monopoly for the state.

Is Boston, Mass. the same place the tea party was a verry important part of our American History......geeeeeez.....willll-eeee-curdles....my poor american born and raised soul aches at the thoughts on actuality of our American(USA) government and their ways of "controliing"(i meant to spell it right) our monies, which if you think about it, makes me think and know our own USA government is not out for "Freedom" as the simple silly way of thinkin hits my mind......one crazy person, which is most likely named crazy for thinkin in ways provoked by our very own government guidelines of exsisting....as i was saying one crazy person could get a sick giggle , "If it be'ath taxes in which the government(givernmeant) is beatn' round the "bush" to obtain from our land of the free online gamblers, ....wouldnt or couldnt one think that it sure is hard to have any respect or "confidence" in the chosen ones of which should for sure remember, why our country became a country , something to the so called facts in books and out of many "teachers" throughout "who knows where", well let me get to the odd way of thinkin i am thinkin......if i can even word it for i may hit overload of the inappropriate ways in which the should be respected are messin with my mind and im sure many others....ya thinkk maybe ...they are doin all this bannin so they can give us a thrill later when they tax it, and wahla the bans are lifted.....???? ok ok ......my heart goes out to allll the members in which are experiencing the same thing in which....hmmmptfft....rrrgrrrrhhhh.....truly i understand...for the state in which i am exsisting in was the first state to start the ban.......in which i might add the ban was voted in on some type of ....get this.....piggyback bill issue of whatever....what the heck does it matter it didn't even maintain any common factors of each other.....if you know what i mean.....no media of it , no compaigning of it , no option of equality or appropriate manners of geeez knowing.....yes washington state residents were unaware of the ban until it was already to the ummmmm last stay justice (stages) .......so tell me thats not sneaky tricky pull the wool over our beings....yea yea ....of course i trust our givernmeant....ooooops government in which is playing chess of a military type nature....oh wow so ya think..... i was over reacting several years ago....when i was screamin....stressin out .....attemptin to warn my very much respected Crusher family members.... i understand i couldve been causing some panic.... i apologize if for some reason i offend or provoke the thought of "why did i waste my time reading through this stupid or demented post of notLOL's" ....... Ha how the heck ya think I got this way....experience of living throughout the cartoon like adventures I personassly have tangled and detangled during my path of life....hmmm.....maybe I will type out some words in a book form .....so i can get the real world simpler than knowing of the actual god....yet the gold, hmmm....ok the currency which trees where shed or milled....he he eheh....notLOL's thoughts could bring sense or cents even.....whew thanks crushers for letting me vent there......leaves me ever evener crazier seeeeing sooo many new homes going up alllllover and there are even more homeless....

Well they are a little slow trying to ban since most of the world trade is breathing down USA necks. Countries are pulling together.

hi yes heard on news tonight there trying to siop all onlie gam. but it still gets me when they can use credit cards for all the big horse races, but when you got countries bringing their horses over here for crown races , thats alright . we all should put a law suit on them. like i heard that 1 of the guys on to catch a preditor said he was not getting a girl under age cause the undercover was of age so he beat the rap. so there are loopholes in everything , tcty josie46

The USA is getting a LOT of heat from other countries about this online gambling ban. World Trade Organizations are yelling and screaming at the USA and other countries are going with the WTO. Sweden and France and throwing in the towel.. Germany is waivering.

USA is thumbing their noses at everyone else and are getting into some hot water.

First of all I think because of the way the law was passed in the FIRST place should make it Null and Void. Should have been repealed.

But the outlook is getting better all the time.

If they are going to prohibit gambling online then they should do it for ALL types of gambling. That includes Horse Racing, Lotteries, and every other form of gambling. It isn't right to say you can't play bingo or play casinos but you can blow money on Horse Racing, Football bets, Lotteries. But see those guys in Washington they like their Horse Racing and Football so they gotta keep them safe. It is all sooooooooooooooo hypocritical it is sickening!

They just want their pockets lined with taxes.

its not just sickening.....its getting soooo warped from sooo many aspects of hhhmmmmmpft angles of the sicknesses in which Americans are having forced on them....such as being banned from gambling online......hmmm i found this headline while browsing, and completely by co-wince-instance(coincidence), "I'm told that "Bitch-Gate" has caused McCain's campaign to have one of its best Internet fund-raising days so far.
" maybe im the onlyone who finds this quite warped...campaigning on the internet. what is wrong with the good ole fashion campaigning ....ya know the in person thing........such as hey i have to go to the casino...in person....
