Weird Food Contest Closed Winners Announced

Hello Crushers!

Yesterday I was in the chat room with some of our Crushers waiting for bingo to start and we got on one of our favorite topics "food". lol

But not just any food, yesterday was different. Someone mentioned growing up and eating Catsup and Onion sandwiches. ewwww That sounded terrible, I much prefered salad dressing and onion sandwiches. lol

One of the members mom use to fry up some fresh pork rinds for a treat and yet another one fondly remembered bacon grease sandwiches. lol

We found out that squirrel meat is quite taste however its on the stringy side and I'm assuming by now you get the picture. lol

Crushers, please tell us, what is one or more of your "not on the menu" meals that you've ate? lol

Maybe I should of put a note at the beginning of this contest to warn you to not read until after dinner huh? hehee oopsie hehee

Everyone making a post and telling us at least one weird food that they've eaten will have their names put in a random drawing and we'll be giving away 2 x $30 prizes for this contest.

groundhog....fried in bacon grease is yummy

peanut butter and tomato slices on toast is quite good, too

lettuce and mustard..yummmy

We use to eat Baked turtle soup from a snapping turtle we would catch from the lake where we lived . It has 7 differant kinds of flavored meat in them .

I don't know if this is wierd but it was when i first started to eat it lol many years ago.

I love Chips cheese and gravy.

Its quite common now to eat chips and cheese but i have to have the gravy as well lol

Im not to adventerous with foods and don't like to many unusual foods but if i dont know what it is i will tr it (sometimes)

I used to eat a "Slam Sandwich" when my mom wasn't at home- 2 pieces of bread slammed together- LOL

A nack we made was choc covered grass hoppers they where really good . I would eat them again any day

i love wurst and salat maybe you dont know that but i love it D

Mom never wasted a thing when the milk started to turn allitle sour she mad us sour dough panckes and topped it with homemade apple butter

You know i don't eat weird things....can't think of ever having done it...well in the food category anyway...lmao (i'm very bad!)

But I am the proud owner of an original 1968 Beverly Hillbillies record with such great songs on it as "Long Talk With That Boy" and "That's The Way They're Living In Beverly Hills" and the lyrics to my favorite that also pertain to this contest is "What You A Cookin' For Dinner, Granny?:

anyway you get the ideea.....i love my record collection...

I've eaten some pretty weird food-but the weirdest was years ago, a buddy of mine made some Scottish Haggis(sheeps stomach, filled with ground liver, heart, tongue, oatmeal, spices), boiled in water for several hours. It didn't smell all that good while cooking, but it tasted okay, course I had downed several beers before eating it! LOL!!

I had a buffalo burger at a restaurant near Mount Rushmore up in South Dakota. The buffalo meat had a little bit of a wild taste and I didn't really enjoy it. I only ate it so I could say "I've eaten buffalo" and it's finally come in handy

right where do i start lol...when it comes to weird food i eat loads of it...my favourites got to be sandwiches with chopped pork tomato sauce and crisps lol...as for chips cheese and gravy mel thats quite common these days...but i prefer it with curry sauce not gravy...if you havent tried it yet try it now....and falcon what can i say...how can you call a traditional scottish recipe like haggis weird lol what would rabbie burns say....and have you saw how long it takes to hunt haggis in the highlands...you could go all day without catching one....and orange thanks for yet another unusual competition...look forward to seeing some of the answers lol...have a gd day all you crushers and good luck if you are gambling
