“Triple Toucan:”
“Triple Toucan” video slot is clearly one of the older games available at RTG Casinos everywhere. It has recently become one of my favorite “old-style” games. I say “old-style” because there is nothing fancy about the game, no extra bells or whistles, and no special graphics to speak of, but it has the kind of charm and ambience of grandma’s house . . . an abundance of old wallpaper and tacky nic-nacs that make you feel at home.

“Triple Toucan” is a pretty game, with a good potential to pay out well. Like all RTG games, there is a random jackpot that I plan to win someday, most likely five minutes after someone already won the big one! (Smiles and shrugs). The game symbols are mostly tropical creatures, such as frogs, parrots and coconuts. Other symbols are the wild symbol, which is a beautiful Toucan bird, and the scatter, which is a swatch of your grandma‘s old wallpaper in a fruit and floral theme. Wild Toucans can appear anywhere, and the scatter must appear three or more times to trigger the bonus.

“Triple Toucan” is a 20 line video slot game with a minimum bet of $.20, and a maximum bet of $100.00 per spin. My usual bet is $.20, and I will rarely go more than $1.00 per spin, because when these games decide to pay, they pay, no matter what you’re betting. Also, I suspiciously think that if I’m too greedy I won’t hit a bonus round, so I wager conservatively. Conservatively, but constantly . . . Ah, me.

Bonus Round:
So, as discussed, the bonus round is triggered by three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the paylines. Up to 25 free spins can be awarded, and the win is multiplied by three times when the Toucan appears anywhere on a payline. In fact, during free spins, the Toucan expands, and increases the win quite nicely. Free spins can, and do, retrigger quite often.

“Triple Toucan” is a visually attractive video slot, with simple, colorful artwork and a topical bird theme. The game’s graphics can not even come close to the newer games, and the features are basic, but it’s a fun game to play, and like I said, it reminds me of grandma, so how bad can that be?

As for RTG Audio, I have pretty much said everything there is to say about it. I hate it. I hate that RTG “heart attack” sound when the bonus round may be triggered. As I’ve said before, I mute the sound, because it’s enough to put me in the hospital with anxiety, and I look forward to a time when all RTG casinos start to spend a little bit of money on their audio. C’mon now, how much can sound cost? It’s everywhere!

System:
With this particular slot game, I play on very low coins, and hit the bonus round often. I can leave and come back and hit the bonus round again. Although I have not had a breath-taking win, I think there is one waiting for me, and I’ll keep trying till I get it.
