PostPosted: Wed May 27, 2009 3:21 pm    MICROGAMING DROPS "Everygame CASINO"
Reply with quote Back to top

I found this on another forum:

May 22, 2009 · Filed Under Online Gambling News, Online Poker News
Responding to online casino Everygame' decision to open a branch accepting US customers, Microgaming has decided to end its association with the Internet gambling site.

Just a couple days ago, Everygame Casino devised a two-casino system so that the company could use alternative software to re-enter the US market, after being forced out with the rest of the Microgaming network last fall. Yesterday, Microgaming responded, announcing it would sever ties with Everygame..

Everygame had tried to find a solution allowing continuation of its long association with Microgaming. The online gambling operator kept its Microgaming operation, labeled as the Green Casino, and set up a new division, known as the Red Casino.

The Red Casino, which once again welcomed US customers to Everygame, runs on Real Time Gaming software, a company which never left the US marketplace. Green Casino members would be free to play at either casino, while US patrons would be limited to the Red Casino.

But the procedure was not enough to satisfy Microgaming, who said its decision to end its relationship with Everygame is a result of the Internet casino's insistence on accepting US customers.

"Everygame Casino is proud to have been powered by such a reputable, market-leading, gaming software provider over the past decade," said Michl Posch, head of marketing for Everygame.

"Many will wonder how much of this decision is based on an eventual Microgaming plan to return to US players," said OCA gaming analyst Sherman Bradley. "If Microgaming hopes to be a licensee when the US begins regulation of online gambling, it might have felt it had to respond to Everygame' impatient move to show Congress it's staying clean until approval is given."

I think that its just that they stop taking new signups to their Micro Casino's.
But already registered players will still be able to play..

Both Royal Joker and Everygame (Green / Microgaming) recently stopped accepting ANY new players. I had a call today from Michl today about this - but wasn't able to take the call at the time (I was driving).

I guessed this might be the next step hence my email to them earlier.

It's a bit of a shame really as I think potentially a lot of Everygame customers (non USA / those that could still play the Microgaming ones), might end up going elsewhere. However, the importance to them of keeping and continuing to allow USA players seems to have been more so.

Personally I like the RTG games (but you have to be careful where you play!). iNetBet, Casino Extreme, and the Club World group seem to be the most preferred and trusted by players.

I think those looking for another really trustworthy RTG casino - Everygame have proven to their customers in the past how good they are and I'm confident this will continue. I actually had a bit of a play on there yesterday and had a lot of fun (and nice bonuses) on their PayDirt slot.

It will be a shame to lose the Microgaming from Everygame, but not the end of the world - there's plenty of other Microgaming casinos wink

Thanks for posting the news, sisters wink

Happy Gaming Always,

Geno/CC

That was the impression I had before but if Microgaming are 'ending their association' with Everygame then I think this would most likely include existing players in the future too.

I'm not sure how many would feel comfortable playing the Everygame Microgaming (Green) casino having read the above (which is no doubt at all the forums / blogs etc now), just in case the next step is to shut it off (possibly when people are playing).

Rather than speculate any further of course, I'll wait until I've had a chat with Everygame themselves and if I can add any assurance from that I will of course do that here.

Happy Gaming Always,
Geno/CC
