Dear Crushers,
I'm very pleased to bring back our CC-Points for Cash auction!
THIS AUCTION IS FOR $50 CASH
(Plus 1 x $10 random non-winning eligible bidder prize)
BUT NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR THOSE WITH between 200,000 and 1,000,000 CCpoints.
There will be more auctions with different qualifying criteria in future.
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF RULES (PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM INCREASE LIMITS FOR BIDDING)
THOSE WITH OVER 1,000,000 CC-POINTS MAY NOT TAKE PART IN THIS AUCTION.
MINIMUM STARTING BID: 100,000 CC-POINTS
MINIMUM INCREASE TO PREVIOUS BID IS 2,000 CCPOINTS *
MAXIMUM INCREASE TO PREVIOUS BID IS 10,000 CCPOINTS *
* ANYONE THAT IGNORES THESE INCREASE LIMITS (EVEN BY ACCIDENT) WILL GET *ONE WARNING* AND AFTER THIS - ANY FURTHER BID THAT IS OUTSIDE THE LIMITS WILL MEAN THEY CAN NOT TAKE PART IN THE CURRENT AUCTION (BUT WILL BE OK TO START THE NEXT ONE).

You can check how many CC-points you have in many ways but here's the simplest:-
- Click on the PROFILE menu option -
- then select the first option PROFILE (to view profile)
- Look down and you can see all your current Points totals.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Over the years many of you have won and earned many many CCpoints and for some of you we want to give you the opportunity to be able to convert some of them with very little effort (as you already made lots of effort to earn and win them) ...
HERE IS HOW TO TAKE PART:-
1. First CHECK YOU HAVE MORE THAN 200,000 (BUT LESS THAN 1,000,000) CCPOINTS (see above)
2. CHECK THE LAST BID (OR MINIMUM if you are the first) . Each bid made MUST be AT LEAST 2,000 CCPOINTS HIGHER (BUT NO MORE THAN 10,000 CCPOINTS HIGHER) THAN THE PREVIOUS BID -- or equal to the minimum if you are the first bidder)
3. REPLY to this topic with your bid in CC-POINTS (you can add any other comments / words that are relevant as all bids will be checked manually) 
4. You may make further higher bids if you wish (but obviously only worth doing so if someone else has bid higher).
So your bid can be in the form "Another awesome auction! -- I bid 100,000 CCpoints for the $50 prize" ....
AT THE END OF THE AUCTION DATE (SEE ABOVE) ...
The highest *valid* bidder will have their CC-points will be deducted by the amount of their winning bid and the prize will be credited AND PAID the following day (along with any other prizes pending payment for the winning bidder).
RULES:-
- Please PARTICIPATE SENSIBLY - This is something still relatively NEW and as such rules are subject to improvement.
- YOU MAY NOT DONATE CC-POINTS TO OTHERS - SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK!
- DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH CC-POINTS TO DO SO!
- DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MINIMUM CC-POINTS BALANCE (AT THE TOP OF THE CONTEST)
- ANY COMMENTS POSTED WITHOUT A BID WILL MOST LIKELY BE DELETED (any questions - please post them as a reply and I will answer - but they will be removed at the end of the auction and any rules improved in this post).
- ANY BIDS MADE AFTER THE AUCTION END TIME WILL BE REMOVED BEFORE DECLARING THE WINNER.
- ANYONE THAT HAD LESS THAN 1,000,000 CC-POINTS (BUT MORE THAN 200,000) AT THE START OF THE AUCTION IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS AUCTION.
- YOU CAN CHECK IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE BY CHECKING THIS GROUP .... at the bottom of this post is a list of all those deemed eligible automatically by the system.
$10 random prize draw for non-winning bidders!
- At the end of the auction, any eligible non-winning bidders will be entered into a random draw for a 1 x $10 prize (for 500 CCpoints). This prize will be paid along with other prizes in the normal way.
(There is no "minimum new topic posting requirement" - just a simple auction). 
IF NOBODY BIDS:-
- Then no problem - there will be no further auctions for CC-points.
AND ONCE AGAIN - DEPENDING ON HOW THIS ONE GOES - WE MAY HAVE MORE IN THE FUTURE ... PERHAPS WITH SLIGHT CHANGES ....
