What Do You Miss About Summer Contest

Well I really miss the camping on weekends. I love being outdoors but really really hate the cold. The swimming, the boating, the hiking this stuff just cannot be beat.

I miss everything about summer! Extended hours of daylight, the warmth of the Sun beating down on me, the colors that surround me with the green leaves and grass and flowers of many colors, fresh vegies from the garden. The mere thougt of being able to go for a nice long walk and move freely with out all the extra layers of cloths. Heck I even miss the thunderstorms that go with summer (as long as they don't create flooding problems)

Hmm.. that'd be an EASY answer since I live in Michigan, and we just got dumped on with 12 inches of freezing cold, solid ice & snow!

JUST THE GOOD OLE PLAIN NATURAL HEAT FROM THE SUN!!

(I'm tired of wearing sunglasses to sheild my eyes from the glare of the white snow! LOL I want to wear them because it's so bright from the sun again!!)

It's humid as all heck here in Georgia during summertime.

But the evenings tend to cool off and make perfect weather for a BBQ.

LET ME EXPLAIN,I AM NOT A COLD WEATHER PERSON AT ALL. I HATE WINTER.
NOW SUMMER, THATS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT STORY.
I CAN GO FISHING AND NOT BE FREEZING,I LOVE TO WEAR LIGHT CLOTHING AND NOT BE CONFINES TO AN ESKIMOS SUIT.
I LOVE THE GREEN GRASS AND THE WAY IT FEELS UNDER MY FEET(can't DO THAT IN THE WINTER,FROSTBITE SETS IN) I LOVE TO BAR-B-QUE!,
I LOVE RIDING IN THE CAR WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN, AND NOT HAVING ICE CYCLES FORM ON MY FACE,
I LOVE TO SEE LIGHTENING BUGS(THEY ARE SO CUTE),
I LOVE TO STAND OUTSIDE AND LOOK UP AT THE STARS;
I LOVE TO GO SWIMMING IN AN OUTDOOR POOL;
I LOVE BEING ABLE TO OPEN THE FRONT DOOR AND NOT GET ATTACKED BY JACK FROST!;
I LOVE MR. SOFTY ICE CREAM TRUCK(MR.SOFTY,MR.SOFTY),SEE I CAN HEAR HIM NOW.;
I LOVE THE SMELL OF FRESH CUT GRASS;
OH,GOSH, IM SORRY, I COULD GO ON AND ON, BUT I THINK YOU GET THE GIST OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss a lot of things...mostly not having to do much laundry
I miss not being able to open my windows and breathe FRESH AIR
I miss FISHING
I miss Hiking
I miss the concerts in the park LOL
I miss sitting on my deck by the pond
I miss potato salad and baked beans and deviled eggs LOL

I miss saying to my kids GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY

I miss the sounds of all the kids in the neighborhood chattering as they ride their bikes down the road. I miss the sounds of all the birds and the squirrels.

I miss the smell of the neighbor who lite their grill before we did. Or the smell of fresh gardenias or my roses. I even miss the smell of freshly cut grass!!

I miss all the colors of Spring. All the green grass and leaves in the trees. All the flowers blooming everywhere. The clear blue sky on a cloudless day.

I really really miss the heat. Being a GRITS (Gal raised in the south) these cold winters in Ohio can get to you. EX. temps today are 19 right now with wind chill of 11...... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh i miss so much first off i miss the warm weather, i miss going to camp and sitting by the camp fire roasting winners having one to many beers. i even miss the bugs.

I miss *EVERYTHING* about summer... the heat, flowers & trees, green grass, etc. etc. etc. Truth is, I get winter depression and that is why one of these days I'm *OFF* to warm climate weather. You warm climate people are soooooooooo LUCKY!!!

What do I miss about summertime?
I miss not seeing the neighbors and the little ones coming out of the woodwork like ants and their cries of laughter as they enjoy the sunshine
I miss taking the walks with my husband.
I miss using my fresh herbs
I miss the rose garden my husband gave me (even if he never promised me one)

I miss seating in my boat in the middle of the lake without a care in the world, its so nice and peaceful out there no grandkids yealing to wife bitching (lol)
