Do you remember a simpler time when you were young?? Please tell us about some favorite fun things you did or some favorite childhood memories..

I Remember When I Was, Well When All 6 Of My Siblings And Myself Were Younger And We Had NO WORRIES... Unlike Now A Days Where We Have 1 Too Many, Especially Worrying About Eachothers Health But WORRY MORE & CONSTANTLY ABOUT 1 OF US IN PARTICULAR, Due To a MAJOR & LIFE CHANGING HEALTH CONCERN..... BUT TWO THINGS NEVER CHANGE AND WILL ALWAYS REMAIN THE SAME!!!!!! (1) WE'RE ALL STILL A KID AT HEART IN SOME WAY OR ANOTHER & (2) WE ALL LOVE EACHOTHER VERY VERY MUCH, NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES, AS ALL 7 OF US LOVING BROTHERS *4* & LOVING SISTERS *3*, GROW OLDER BUT MUCH CLOSER !!!!!

I remember when i was little the hole family would go to great america ( part of 6 flags amusement parks) and marine world every year.it was every fun.ty

I remember when I was 10 my mother was teaching me how to cook and I loved it so . The best thing was when I cooked my first rabbit . I cooked it on the grill and it was so good .It tasted just like chicken . Mom said I did it perfect . From that day on I cooked almost every day some thing new .

What I remember most about my youth was that we had to be creative to entertain ourselves. It was a great day when someone in the neighborhood got a new icebox or washing machine that came in a big box. We cut out a door and windows, painted it and had a playhouse. We made phones out of cans and string. When it rained we put on bathing suits and played in it. After a heavy rain we would tie bacon to a string, put it down a crawfish hole to lure them out and have contest to see who caught the most (we never ate them, it was catch and release). These are just a few of the many things we did. The electronic age is great and I couldn't live without my computer but kids today don't play outside all day long, like we did. They don't make something fun, out of nothing, like we did and that's sad because it taught us the value of imagination and creativity.

I feel so old now because I just realized all of this happened over 50 years ago.!

i just remember not having a care in the world and feeling like i was invincible..oh to be that way again...

I loved going to family picnics. We had so much fun. Too much of the family is no longer with us and the big picnics have stopped. I sure do miss them

I miss being carefree.

I miss the family reunions my grandmas side of the family held each summer....unfortuneately they are all gone now.

Remember those skates that were made of metal and you attached them to your shoes with a key?? I used to LOVE rollerskating back then. Wasn't very good if you lost the key LOL.

As kids we were ALWAYS outside playing, I remember that. Staying inside in front of a TV set was unheard of.

You could go to a double feature movie with news and cartoons for 25 cents!

We didn't need a ton of toys to keep us happy. I don't remember ever owning a toy box crammed with toys I never played with.

Yes those days were carefree. You didn't have the fear now of gangs etc.
What a wonderful sweet life that was!!

I miss the feeling of freedom!

WE USED TO GO TO KNOTTS BERRY FARM WHEN I WAS IN 9TH GRADE- AFTER 4 PM M-F WITH SCHOOL ID CARD YOU ONLY HAD TO PAY $9-

WE ALWAYS HAD A BLAST, DIFFERENT FRIENDS WOULD GO AT DIFFERENT TIMES- I MISS IT!!

"THE ABSOLUTE BEST TIME ON HALLOWEEN" ALL EMPLOYEES ARE COSTUMED- SCARY AS HELL- RIDES MADE CREEPY- A REAL HOOT!!

I remember when it was just the 6 of us Mom, Dad, me, Bill my brother and Junette my sister and Nana we went everywhere together and did everything together and now it seems like it was a million years ago and now there are only 3 of us and all the kids and grandkids still do a lot of things together tho it is harder arranging everyones schedules to fit so we can.

I remember when our parents told us to "go outside and play,
were ok with us walking to the store to buy candy cigarettes, and soda machines dispensed bottles that you could save and take back to the store for money.
Ah the good old days.

when I visited my grandfather when I was young it seemed like the world was so much safer....
