Hi a few days ago i posted something about this and no one really responded..i just did a google search on "microgaming pulling out of united states" and was floored.. From everything out there it looks to be true...
Just thought I would give you all a heads up..

That may explain why my account was just locked at Lucky Nugget. I play the tournaments at River Belle, Jackpot City, Gaming Club and Lucky Nugget. Nugget was OK until a few minutes ago. hi all , im in mo. because it boarders wth kentuky and ill , they blocked and i have 25$ in it i can't play. what a bummer.they told me to send proof like drivers lic or bank statement, no way they sent me snail mail , so i dont know why i should have to prove where i live, no way am i sending that kind of info, ty josie46

Hi Josie, Sisters and I have to send ID verification all the time to casinos.

We send a scanned copy of our drivers licence and a utility bill. We have to do that because our ISP is a US based company even though we live in Canada the casino software see's us as having a US IP address so they think we live in the US. I have been playing for a few years now and never had any problems with sending a copy of my driver's licence.. I wanted to play, it was either that or they don't let me play..

I hope you get it straighted out.

I've sent ID in many time Josie with no problems...many times I had to to cash out. I have the same problem with some Micros because my IP comes from a banned state, Wisconsin, and I live in Minnesota, a non-banned state. But if it makes you uncomfortable, there's other casinos you can enjoy.

I was just thinking of something..isn't it terrible how the belle rock group has handled this? they have just suspended our accounts without even an email....

I just had to say this..it really bothers me and I am sure it isn't going to be the only casino who does the United States players like this..

now on one different note..there is some talk that some casinos will allow the U.S. players to continue to play as long as you are already registered. For how long ? who knows..but I did read somewhere that the villento group are going to allow the US players to continue to play.
I really dont understand how they are going to do this tho, being as this is a decision by Micrgaming and not the individual casinos themselves..

any thoughts?

Hi Kellye, I live in Utah aka the state that borders Kentucky apparently lol also known as the last state to ban online gambling, which isn't true either ... but recently had all my microgaming accounts closed.

Villento and Casino Rewards has since unlocked my accounts and this is the response I received from Villento as to what's going on:

Rita, I will need to inform you that Microgaming have put a block on all players from one of the 13 banned states based on their respective IP address and this decision is out of our control. This is the reason as to why your casino account has been locked. I have however unlocked your casino account from my side but there is a chance that you may not be able to access your account based on an IP block. However if you can access your account, then you are more than welcome to deposit and play.

I did call them after receiving this email to make sure that if I was able to get into my account, made a deposit and lucky enought to make a withdrawal, would I receive my money? and was told of Yes, of course I would.

So far I've done everything but the cash out part Shocked lol ... I'll let you know what happens if that ever happens. lol

With all that being said, we do have to remember this is not any of the Casinos fault, they would love to keep us as customers ... its the good ol USA government threatening them with lawsuits if they don't do as they say. grrrr I do agree that sending an email explaining that our accounts were locked would of been a nice thing to do though ... oh well. lol

I wish our Government would be honest with us at least this once and tell the real reason that they are causing such a stink about online gambling. Its because they are loosing out on a LOT of tax money.

I think a simple solution for everyone involved would be ... Any person living in the USA that receives a cashout from an online gambling site will automatically have 10%/20% taken out prior to issing the rest to the winner. Then every month the casino can send a check to our "Uncle Sam", that will make him very happy and have "Uncle Sam" give us back our right to be a responsible adult again, that would make me very happy!!!

This plan would be very simple, no names, no IRS, no right offs, no accountant necessary, we all pay the same percent and its taken right off the top before we even see it.

Okie dokie I'm backing off my soap box now LOL Thanks for letting me say my 2 cents worth!!!

You are very kind Kellye, I put most people to sleep with my novels. LOL

This is very frustrating for all of us that live in the USA and for the Casinos too. I keep my fingers crossed that our Government will pull their heads out of that dark place they've been keeping them for the past couple of years and finally see the light before its too late. (If anyone isn't sure they know where the dark place is I'm talking about, send me a private message and I'll tell you. LOL)

Like Monica said in an earlier reply, we too must send ID to the casinos...I happily do if I want to play or on a very rare occasion cashout Wink I also received an email from JF stating I was bordering on Kentucky Shocked I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada...no where near Kentucky Laughing

I figured that since Ontario borders on New York State that possibly this was the reason for the re-sending of the ID...None of my accts have been locked thus far, but who knows what the future holds...I always say what the USA does, Canada is not far to follow...

OC your idea is a great one...now try convincing that to the US Gov't Rolling Eyes

Oh, when I make my first deposit in any Microgaming Casino, I immediately send the casino a copy of my Drivers License, a Utility Bill, the address page to my bank statement and a copy of my CC that I used to make the deposit.

I've found that by doing this, it makes the first cash out go a LOT smoother and I usually get my money at least 2 to 3 days earlier, then if I wait to submit the information after I do my withdrawal.

So far its worked for me. Smile
