Monicas Surgery Is Today

Hi,


Just letting everyone know that Monica is having her surgery today at 12:45pm EST...

Monicas surgery is being performed by Dr. Softhands...yep you read that right Dr. Softhands, well that's what I call him

Monica is having a monkey attached to her so she can be just like me...awww isn't that sweet NOT!!!

Seriously prayers would be appreciated as Monica will be in the Hospital for 4 days and will be going through CC withdrawal, especially since she will be missing Bingo & Chat

I will give an update later on in the day when I get home from the Hospital...yeppers you guessed it...she needs to hold my hand during her surgery....Damn I will be on my feet for over an hour if everything goes well I will bring my slippers so I will be comfy

CC will be seeing more of Monica as she will be off work for a minimum of 8 weeks....

So like I said prayers would be appreciated as I want my sister to come out of this surgery with flying colors and no complications

Aw Sarah, You know you and Monica both have my prayers, hun. I went through the same operation a few years ago and I am certain she will come through with flying colors and her sense of humor intact. Tell Monica we are all praying for her rapid recovery and waiting for her here.

my prayers are with you and what a awesome sister you are.If monica has a computer laptop I took mine to the hospital with me as I just couldnt live without it.Good luck in monicas recovery....

hope everything goes well for monica sarah and im sure she will be fine tho id be wary if a doctor was called fe softhands...anyway best wishes to her

Here is an update:

Monicas surgery went without a hitch thank goodness...she was still in recovery when I left at 5:45pm as she is waiting for her room to be ready...Monica has lots of color in her face and is hooked up to a Morphine Pump for the pain...She didn't look like she was in any pain when I saw her must be the Morphine as she said she was feeling pretty good

Oh and BTW the monkey they attached looks good Dr. Softhands is a genious with a scalpel and staples...

The worst part of the whole thing was the waiting and not knowing how everything was going and on top of that watching Ultimate Fighting on the TV as Monicas husband and one of her sons wouldn't let Mom or me change the channel

Monica asked me to send her love and lots of hugs to everyone...

I will keep you posted...

Recent Monica Update:


I went to the Hospital today to visit Monica...well the bioche is not in any pain, just a little discomfort and is only taking regular tylenol every 4 hrs...

Monica has been walking the halls as she is bored and doesn't want to lay or sit in bed of course she can't stand the food and is itching to get home, which will be on Monday as she is doing excellent Monica said she'll try and lay in bed tonight and watch some TV...

She sends her love to all and can't wait to hit bingo on Monday depending on what time she gets home...She is soooo thankful for all your thoughts and prayers as am I

Hello Everone.

Wow, I have read each and every post in here and it brought tears to my eyes. How wonderful you all are. Especially Sarah (don't tell her I said this though) she is a wonderful, caring sister indeed!

As she mentioned surgery went without a hitch, no pain involed after. Of course, with an abdominal incision the muscles hurt when I laugh, cough or sneeze but everying is GREAT! Doctor "softhands" saw me this morning before I was discharged game me an RX for some really cool stuff (morphine) if I need it at home. Now, just the 8 weeks off of work (it is even paid too) for recovery. I am going to suck up each and every day of it and take lots of time for me and make sure I am 110 % better before going back to work.

I love each and everyone of you for thinking of me.
