That's easy Me my big sister,& lil brother set a smoke bomb off in neighbors yard,It caught on fire & we ran in house pretending to sleep,My dad was then a few minutes later riding on a moped when the cop's stopped him & thought he did it.Dad ran in the house Screaming those F_CKING KID'S!!! Mom said they're are sleeping.We were scared for sure.Now able to laugh LOL

Actually there were a lot of favorite Halloween memories, but the best was the year before
I started high school. Every year my dad would get a few railroad ties (the wooden trestle
for tracks) and he would have a big barbeque pit about three or four feet long. Our entire family,
plus the entire neighborhood would all come over to have a Halloween roast. A couple of
days before we would go out into the corn fields and fill pillow cases full of corn on the cob.
We would place them in a basket over the hot coals after soaking them in water all day.
We would then take wire coat hangers, open them up and place hot dogs on the end and
roast them over the open fire.

Everybody would eat and have a great time, then right after sunset (usually the same time
that the lightning bugs come out) we would all get dressed up and go trick or treating.
By that time everyone would be back at the homes to hand out the treats.

Some of the things we were sure to get every year were popcorn balls from Mrs. Kincaid,
candy apples from Mrs. Wakenshaw, peanut brittle from Mrs. shoemaker. We would
come home with over two bags full of candy and treats.

After trick or treating, we would all play all kinds of games, like "tag with the paper" or "hide the belt".

I don't think normal kids played games like that.

Tag with the paper is when you get a newspaper and roll it up very tight and put a rubber band on it.
Then instead of using your hand to tag someone, you just throw the paper at them.
Once someone gets hit by the newspaper they get to go after everyone else in the game.

Hide the Belt is when one person hides a belt, and then everyone else has to find the belt.
THe person who hid the belt would tell you if your getting hot (close), warm (not so close),
or cold (way far away). The person who finds the belt gets to chase everyone by swinging
the belt at them until they all bet back to home base.

It was one of the few times that we get to stay up late on a school night.

well the funniest one I can think of is soaping my own parents window when I was younger. Then the next day my chore was to clean it all off. lol

We don't celebrate it here, but I wish we did as it looks like a lot of fun!

It has to be taking my two girls trick or treating for the first time. They loved it!! This year the little guy is 19 months, so he will be old enough to appreciate it, so this will be great too!!

When my boys were younger, the town we lived in had a "Great Pumpkin" hunt. There were 50 pumpkins hidden around town each worth a bag of goodies, plus the designated "Great Pumpkin" which was worth $50 to the finder. There would be daily clues for 10 days leading up to the event. My oldest son wanted to find that pumpkin, so we collected all the clues and thought we had a pretty good idea where it would be. When it came time for the actual hunt we went to the area where we thought it was and there wasn't another person in sight! We figured we were probably way off the mark if no one else was there but we started looking around and low and behold, my son found it!

MINE WAS GOING TO TICKTAC ON DEVILS NIGHT, MY SISTER AND I AND A FEW FRIENDS TP'ED OUR SCHOOL AND SILLY STRINGED THE BALL FIELD..IT WAS A BLAST

definitely was taking my youngest on her first trick or treat outing, she was carrying a plastic pumpkn for the goodies. After the first person put a little something in the pumpkin, she wouldn't let anyone near it. I think she thought they were going to take her little bag of candy OUT.

We don't officially celebrate it in Aus. but the world is getting very small now and my youngest daughter has nagged me to go 'trick or treating'.

I became engaged to be married on Halloween night several years ago. Hmmm! I thought he just called me a witch to annoy me???

Going up on a big hill that overlooked the highway in the town i lived in and egging cars.....hehehe that was sooooooooooo fun!

I remember there were 2 years when I would bring home 3 garbage bags filled with goodies.

i would have to say my son and daughters first halloween taking them trick and treating.
