November Bingo Marathon Contest - Winners Announced!

well rc i wasn't at bingo...but from what i read there it would confuse me as well....can't understand how it can be UNFAIR to give more than one win

Crushers, I have hosted some unusual Bingo sessions! But I guarantee that last night's was the weirdest of them all! LOL!

What an experience - at least for me. I hope you won't mind if I give this account of it from my viewpoint. Am hoping you might actually even find the story to be slightly entertaining.

It started when I was cleaning out my refrigerator and freezers. The phone rang and it was my good friend crzynana. I wondered why she was calling so early in the morning, since I really thought I had been catching up on housework all night long. Then she said, "Wakie, wakie! It's 7 minutes til Bingo."

I was totally confused. "Is this evening time?" I stupidly asked her. No wonder she paused a while before saying yes!

I told her I thought it was morning and , bless her heart, she tried to give me an easy way to excuse myself by saying it was something common (I can't remember what).

But I corrected her! "No," I said. "It is senility!"

After laughing, we hung up and I rushed to my computer to host Bingo.

Now the weirdness REALLY begins! I brought up the bingo screen with all the cards and turned the machine - what I call the bucking bull - on. Then as usual I clicked to bring up Live Chat. Well, guess what! Instead of the Chat Screen, a system notice came up telling me I had to install a new edition of Flash before Chat would come up! There was no time! It was already time for the first game to start!

With no chat screen, I had no way to explain to room what was happening! The only thing going through my mind was "The show (or Bingo) must go on!!!"

So with nothing but the Bingo numbers screen, I climbed on the Bingo bucking bull and let him have his way calling numbers. At least they will get to play, I told myself. THEN SOMEBODY TURNED RED!!!!!!!

Total blank! What was I to do Now???????? Could not communicate with anybody! I figured it must be time to give up and throw in the towel. Oh how that hurt! I thought of all my sitemates that would be hurt, some financially.

Suddenly I went into automatic mode in my brain! CANNOT GIVE IN! MUST COME through! THERE HAS TO BE A WAY! That was when it hit me! I ran and grabbed my laptop and set it up right beside my desktop, praying the system would let me in, even if I was already logged in!

It did!

So on the laptop, I brought up Live Chat. Communication at last!

But oh how weird the rest of the session, with the bingo on one machine and the Live Chat on the other! I had to go back and forth between them, using them both! It seemed so strange.

BUT.........

Finally the end of the story! The show DID go on! And left me totally worn out.

Our winners for a Bingo Point each were: SLOTMOM and KRAZIEGURL.

Congratulations you two!

To all the rest of you: I have never known a more understanding group of people, who will go along with me, no matter what! For that I give you all my most grateful thanks and also my love!

If leave this world before you all do, don't worry ever when you go to any Bingo game! I WILL BE watching over you......and THE SHOW WILL GO ON!!!!!

Hi RC and anyone else reading this..

I was in bingo chat that evening when OC made an executive decision to pay all 3 winners $30 each instead of drawing for 1 winner. Certainly the 3 winners did not complain ( i would not either if I had been a winner that night) but others were upset as the previous week there must have been multiple wins and a draw was done and only one cash winner.

This is just my opinion in general and not pointing fingers at anyone ( i would never do that)

We are all one BIG family here, I was so excited to see 3 people win free $$ as I would be happy with anyone I knew winning $$. For the members who thought OC's decision was unfair I am sorry that you feel that way. However, if the situation had been turned around and you would have been one of the 3 who got the $$, would you have honestly said to OC.. " I DON'T WANT THE FREE $$" IT IS NOT FAIR, I doubt that very much.

It also is the same when our wonderful Admin Geno comes into chat/bingo and decides unannounced to give away extra $$ prizes.. I don't see anyone saying " Geno, don't do this, it is not fair to other members.

Heck, it was an extra bonus.. I do not know of any other forum that gives such a large amount of FREE $$ away every month and where the admin staff, Geno, RC and OC care so very much about each and every one of us and do their best to keep everyone happy.

I see this has caused a lot of confusion and has upset OC and it is very sad. This will perhaps cause any further extra freebies to be given away. I know I am a fairly new member and maybe I have said too much for my own good but I had to voice my opinion.

I love all my fellow members and I love the privelage of being a member of such a GREAT forum!!

For everyones info it hasn't been that long since CC started playing for 8 x $30 bingo games per month,2 every Sunday.I distinctly remember multiple winners on a coupla occasions and both received $30.Nothing was said about it then.Whatever CC staff decides to give out and how it is distributed is fine with me as with most members I'm sure,since it is FREE money.
CC,PC & BC are by far the most generous and friendly forums online.Be nice and accept graciously whatever you get.Remember that no one is perfect all the time,wouldn't that make life boring?LOL!!!!

Although I wasn't in the Bingo Session the day that upset OC, I find that some are getting tooooo GREEDY!!!!

This is my own opinion...I can't for the life of me understand why so many would bitch about giving/receiving FREE CASHafter all it's coming out of Genos pocket and Geno is extremly genorous with his pockets...

I think that Geno should just forget about the extra contests in December...Geno, OC & RC certainly don't need the headaches, and they all do so much for all of us...

This is just my opinion...

I never thought I would ever see Crushers being so greedy and I've been a member here for over 4 yrs...

NO OTHER FORUM GIVES SOOOO MUCH TO THEIR MEMBERS...SOME PEOPLE SHOULD REMEMBER THAT!!!!!

Thank you, OC, for your generousity and for your ongoing efforts to always do what it fair for all CC members. What saddens me is that chat is something I really look forward to each time i can make it (I know, I lead a pretty patheitc life! LOL) Chat is so much fun and there is lots of comraderie whether it be sharing our problems or joking around (anyone notice I fall into the second category? Hard to detect, I know!) That enjoyment 4 days a week, twice a day is worth a lot more than any $30 won. Petty complaints are so rare that when it does happen it shocks us all, and we don't really know to react. I say chill out, spread the love and go with the flow...CC is always fair and honest. And don't start trouble..oops, I cause trouble all the time so I better shut up now. Looking forward to some great chat this weekend! I'll bring the dollies and if anyone gets out of line, they'll get a helium-filled leg kick!!

ALLIGHT ~ I wonder how many members know how very much more there is to you than meets the eye! Including a very wise, fair, and logical side!

In your reply, you wisely advised everyone to "chill out, spread the love, and go with the flow."

Wise words indeed and ordinarily, Al, I would take that advice of yours in a minute.......but a very good friend of mind has been hurt and I would rather be hurt myself. OC is is one of the kindest, fairest, and most caring human beings I have ever known. Any decision she makes in bingo she makes with the proper authority that her position grants her and her word should always be final and unquestioned. As should mine and, of course, Geno's. For that reason - and also because I have a sometimes bad habit of spitting out what is on my mind with no forethought before climbing onto my soapbox, I can't follow your advice this time until I have said just a couple more things. Among them: Thank you, Al, for posting a reply in a thread where few would dare to travel.

BROXI ~ Thank you for being the first to speak up. Thank you also, for letting me know I wasn't missing anything - that what I couldn't believe happened had really happened.

Like you, broxi,I was not there and have no idea who the protestors of OC's actions were. I would really like for it to stay that way, because like Monica said,I really do care about each and every one of you and will do anyting in my power to make all of you happy, being very concious to have no favorites as far as how I treat everybody. As staff members, we sometimes have to make decisions on the spot, and when that happens my first thought is to be fair to all equally, even tho some are luckier than others.

BOWER ~ Your words, as always, carry good advice for everyone, backed up with excellent knowledge of whatever the situation may be. You are a valuable, fearless, hardworking, and extremely loyal member at all 3 Crush sites - and this is a good opportunity for me to let you know I realize that. I also appreciate it.

SISTERS ~ Like you, I cannot understand why anybody would bitch about more cash prizes being given away than they expected. It is not their right to make administrative decisions and that is exactly what it was - the very same as if Geno had come in and given the word to give away more. OC is also entitled to make that decision any time she wants to, even if it is out of the ordinary agenda. She has full understanding of our contest budget, as no member does, and is quite capable of dispensing a little extra only when she knows the budget allows for it. I personally know it hurts her more than anyone knows for someone to win and then not get the prize money because the budget requires that she must have a tie breaker. She really feels for the loser who should have been a winner, but she always makes the correct executive decision at the time.

Sisters, about punishing everybody by having no special Christmas pezzies as prizes -- WOW! You are one harsh lady! BUT LOL! I DO understand, sweetie, that those words sprouted out from your loyal anger and by now you realize that would be going too far and hurting too many innocents. So no problem and I thank you sincerely for your support!

MONICA ~ I saved you for last (except for OC) because I was so impressed with your reply. Your words prove that you do understand the situation entirely and that you furthermore understand the feelings of the staff so well -- both the usual extreme happiness we feel working with all Crushers about whom we honestly do care very deeply..... and also the occassional headache that is a part of ANY job.

OC ~ My dear partner, we work together so well, sharing everything, helping each other out when help is needed, praising each other for great ideas and outstanding actions, hesitating not one minute to say so when we disagree - and respecting each other for that honesty. Each of us seems to think of the other first and I don't think there is much - if anything - we wouldn' do for each other. I respect your work and I also respect how hard you work, never stopping until everything is done that can be done for the members no matter how many hours or days it takes. I realize the members come first with both of us. And I know that is why you made your post which apologized for making a mistake.

But I simply cannot end this already too long post without telling you this: OC! YOU MADE NO MISTAKE! AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR! The decisions of the Bingo Host are final. And your decisions are always made with a perfect combination of head and heart!

And with that, I will conclude this post -- THANKING ALL CRUSHERS for being the wonderful group you are AND realizing that not one among you is perfect.........just like not one among your staff is perfect!

rc...no need to thank me i only said what i felt....lovely post you made and i agree with everything you said...thats the thing i like most about you is the way you speak your mind honestly even when at times it would be easier to keep quiet which is what im like lol i speak my mind to often tho thankfully on here i can get the chance to read and change my posts before submitting or else id probably get myself in trouble lol.....as others have posted the chats great fun and thats why most would go and not for the money.....i love the chat but can't make it often as normally working or unfortunately in bed so rarely join your chat sessions tho will try to make friday nights when in from work at 1am as apart from early sat night chats i can only ever make early mon bingo which shows you go there for fun and not winning as lets face it 2 sessions a month is hardly gonna get bingo points to win lol....anyway just wanting to let you know that im sure i speak for majority when i say the work yourself oc and geno does is most appreciated and like you said theres no way oc should be apoligising for anything as like yourself shes a lovely person who only ever tries to do her best and be as fair as shes allowed

Hope this issue can be put to rest and hope OC is not hurt by it all, she works too hard for all of us for her to feel bad about anything she's ever done here at CC. Love everyone here at CC, even the whiners (I may have even whined myself a time or two) but OC is really special, and the one person I really look forward to seeing in chat, or reading her posts. Would not be nearly as much fun coming to CC without having OC to look forward to. Hearing from OC is even more fun than telling Sharon jokes! Looking forward to bingo tomorrow afternoon and hope to see everyone there enjoying all that OC, RC, and Geno have to offer.
