November 2011 Tell Us About Contest...1..winner Announced

Well, I haven't done much to get ready for fall ... or should I say winter by now as it is slowly but surely creeping in and I ... HATE it
Don't really fancy walk to bus stop in knee deep snow, 7AM, pitch black morning temperature being something from 0C to -27C ... My bus will come in time, but even with 5 mins wait and my a** is totally frozen

So you guys who can have it nice, fairly warm and lovely, ENJOY as this is my frozen Hell till the end of March ... ... NOT!

sometimes we barely have a fall. it goes from triple digit to 25 or less. this year i have been in denial of winter mostly and actually this has been a relly nice fall not too cold yet but my preperation to get ready is securing everything down then the two tress that hang over my place become a full time job just cleaning up the mess they leave.right now we are tightening things up by caulking any little possibility of cold air leaks. bust out the flannel sheets and down comforters. and of course begrudgingly pull out the long pants sweaters and coats. i can't wait till summer comes back around so i can go float on the lake. happy holidays everyone!

i prepare by closing up my camp sad to leave summer just flies by

I pull out a few more blankets for the bed but thats about it

Living in California, all that I really have to do is check/light the pilot light for the furnace and flip the thermostat from cool to heat.

The most important thing is to ensure ttere is extra captain Morgan in the house in case one of those nor'easters blows in and dumps 3 feet of snow on us!

Already starting to wear extra layers inside the house for warmth and will be hunting down more blankets for the beds today! Trying to remember where we stored that space heater last spring... Thanks for the contest!

I just take each day as it comes. Pa rakes the leaves LOL

I swept the leaves off of my balcony (last year it was a drag clearing the snow away with them there). I get out the winter clothes and put away summer.....still getting used to having a place of my own.

One thing I never get used to is how much darker it is! I had to stock up on light bulbs.

i just clean the gared and cover the deck furniture..then i hibernate until spring! lol

I prepare by taking the a/c out of the window, turning the electrical breakers on, covering up when I'm in bed etc ..
