Since you never look a gift horse in the eyes, I cannot think of any gift that I think was the worse gift I have ever received.

Thinking back over the years as to the best I recall my birthday when I was in second grade. It was a big surprise to my mother when kids started arriving on Saturday afternoon with gifts in hand. LOL My mother looked at me and i said, "I told you I was having a birthday party!" She had to make a quick trip to the store for cake and Ice cream. And do you know I still have a wooden box with a picture on it (like a small chest) that one of the boys gave me.

I guess it was a real surprise party. ROFLMAO

Okay my worst would be my 21st birthday

a couple of my girlfriends took me bar hopping .Well I got so messed up

that I didn't know how I got home, where the bruises came from,

and I sure in the hell misplaced my underwear somewhere.


Called my friend from the nite b4 and she was laughing her butt off when

i asked her. She says she brought me home, but I fell down the stairs

when I couldnt open the door to my house.As for the underwear she had

no idea what I was talking about there.well I was so worried about ALL

DAY come nite time I couldnt keep it a secret anymore I had to tell

hubby .Well when I went to lye down he saud hey babe put these on for

me ,Yep they they were!!! he said I was so drunk that he had to do

somthing besides take advantage of me, so he took them off and kept

them just to play a joke on me and make me wonder where I had left

them.

i must say this past birthday was my worst.....my guy forgot it , couldnt believe it....still wondering if it were a sign ....telling me i should just give him the engagement ring he gave me last year after returning from working out of town.....yes i must say, him not even realizing it was my birthday until after it was mentioned to him made me feel sick, and like the day i was born was no biggie to him.
and my kids were not the any fun to be around that day either.
can't remember a bad present.....so worst birthday is my entry.

My worst would be my 20th birthday because my son born. He was my best gift. Cristian (my son) and I were born on 28 March.

My worst was also a sweet attempt by my youngest son. One year he went to a secret santa shop at school and got me a large, plastic manger (All in one) painted to look like very shiny gold! I still have it of course, but I do hope one day he sees how silly it really is! I love the kid, but he had a little kid taste, the biggest and shiniest is better.

After reading the best and worst birthday stories that have been posted so far, it makes me remember a lot of the birthdays that I have had in the past. And, I would like to start off by saying, rsable, I'm so sorry about your worst birthday, thats just terrible, I can't for the life of me understand how children can be so cruel. I have also had many great birthdays and those far outweigh the bad, but, the bad ones were so bad, I would like to forget they ever happened...Like my 14th birthday, if that one never happened I wouldn't have missed it for one second! I had just started high school a month before my 14th birthday and had 2 close friends already, and so I decided that I wanted to have a sleep over, I figured we could go to movies, then to dinner and then party the night away, LOL! I planned it all out about 2 weeks in advance, the day before my birthday, (my birthday also happened to fall on a Friday), I was getting dressed for school and heard a loud *BOOOOM*! It scared the c.r.a.p. out of me, I looked outside and it was pouring rain! Oh no, I thought, I hope this rain doesn't last. Went to school, and talked to my friends and everything was all set. Going home, walking in the rain, I remember thinking again, oh God, please stop this rain! And I love the rain! lol It rained all night, and all day on my birthday, it rained so much, that the streets were flooded and my house was almost flooded! Needless to say, neither one of my friend's parents wanted them to leave the house, let alone go to a slumber party. So, my older sister (she's 12 years older than me,) and her husband took me over to their house and surprised me with a cake and pizza and beer (to this day, I cannot stand beer!) and a present. All in all, it ended up alright but, to this day I think of that story every time my birthday comes around.

So many years, so much embarassment!

Worst birthday would have to be when I tried to book a few days off work weeks in advance, due to the fact I was celebrating my birthday and there my local football (soccer) team were in a cup final, I ended up having to work on the phones all day long with a very heavy cold - manager let me leave 5 minutes early... thanks a lot GRRRRR.

Don't think I have anything to shout about with regards best birthdays though

I am going to have to say my best birthday ever was the year my eldest son was born. My birthday was my due date but I had a beautiful baby boy 11 days early. I just love early surprises!!

I thought my 30th birthday was going to be the worst EVER. For months I had dreaded the day.

I always seem to be lucky around that time, so when the day arrived I went out and bought myself $50 worth of scratch off lottery tickets.

One of those tickets was a $500 winner! So, with that extra money, I called up an old friend that I hadn't seen in a few months and we went out to dinner and then painted the town red. (And orange and yellow and green and so on.)

For some reason or another, my libido went into overdrive for the next 4-5 years after that too. Go figure.

Ooops! Wrong answer! My worst birthday was this last one. My mom and stepdad were mad at me and didn't call or anything!

Ok, My worst birthday present was a bird aviary, which my Mum said before my birthday she had gotten me something I had always wanted, i was really dissapointed when i saw the avairy because i dont even really like birds - I had no idea where she had gotten the impression that I wanted and avairy. My best present was a week long camp when i was 14 I had a blast and made heaps of new friends who I wrote to for years afterwards.
