Well, I gotta say I do like the Oldies & Goodies, but I prefer Classic Rock & Roll... it brings back memories of a style of music that just cannot be forgotten..you know what they say, "Rock & Roll will never Die" & "Rock & Roll is here to stay"!...hmmm, geeee, I jez coulda been one of them fellars that helped WoodStock get those sayins' started... Damn, ... it's a Shame this teflonitis works so dang hard agin me.. I cain't remember..but then agin.. it's probably jest as well!..anyhow!1
Classic Rock and Roll is my favorite genre... and the 'Must have in ALL homes Album' would be Led Zeppelin iv (Stairway to Heaven)!..you know that song has sooo many different values and ways of seein' it sadness, joy, peacefulness, Spiritual... etc... !

My taste in music has changed over the years. Growing up it was nothing but Rock and Roll. First the easy rock, then the heavy rock of the seventies. Living in the midwest, I went to a different concert every weekend. Travelled to concerts everywhere. Chicago, Rockford, Peoria, University of Illinois, Illinois State University, Indianapolis, Springfield IL, St. Louis, Southern Illinois University. You name it, I saw it in the seventies.
Then I started getting into country in the nineties, when grunge, punk rock, and rap started coming into popularity.
Then as I got older and more settled in my ways, I started listening to Broadway musicals. From Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Phantom of The Opera, Rent, Evita, and the rest.
Now I love any kind of genre, as long as I can understand it.
Oh, it wouldn't be complete without mentioning Disco, in-between my concert days. I was leading a double life (lol). During the weekends, I was rock and roll at concerts with my work friends, and during the week was hitting disco bars with my friends that I graduated with.
Have a great day.

It's kinda hard to really specify because I like all kinds.
Depends on the meaning of the song really 4 me anyways.
Theres a couple new ones by 3 doors down that have my favorite right now.
Let me be myself & It's not my time
Then there's Linken Park with the song,--Someplace to Belong
Which those r Rock, but then there's the 1 that means more 2 me then most and that's the 1 by Patty Loveless,--How can I help you to say good bye, It's ok to hurt & it's ok to cry.
I cry evertime I hear it.
That is country music
The music has to go with the meaning of the lyrics no matter which type.
I don't know if that's what your asking 4 but that's what I got

Yeh! All sorts of music works for me, from classical to bluegrass, from trance to Irish, punk, rock, pop, emo, R&B, techno, rap, country, dance, folk, disco, chamber, metal, etc!
I absolutely love the emotion and moods that music gives one. Throughout all stages and phases of my life there has been music to get me going. Just off the top of my head:
Fav Artists-
Stevie Wright (Aust.), America, Slim Dusty (Aust.), Cat Stevens, Elvis, Canned Heat, Pink Floyd, Lobo, Bread, Noiseworks(NZ), Beatles, EasyBeats(Aust.), Herman's Hermits, Hollies, Slade, Led Zepplin, Burl Ives, You Am I(Aust.), U2, Fleetwood Mac, Bozz Scaggs, Deep Purple, Guns n Roses, Public Image LTD., Split Enz (NZ), Seal, Powder Finger (Aust.), Evermore, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, 50 Cent, Manfred Mann, Animals, Peter Gabriel, Live, Pearl Jam, ACDC (Aust.), The Cranberries, Chicago, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, John Denver, John Farnham (Aust.), and.......................ok enough!
Thanks Casino Crush! It's been really great to think about something which I don't give enough time to these days.

Does karaoke music count as a type of music? I love to sing and will download just about any karaoke music I can find, I don't even care if there are words with it, I figure as long as I have a title for the song I can find the lyrics and learn how it goes
I have piles of karaoke CDs at home and the kids seem to enjoy my karaoke machine as much as I do
(Thanks again mom for giving me one for my birthday!) The greatest thing I love about the karaoke machine is that I can place a memory card in it and record myself singing, then play it back on the computer so I can hear where I made mistakes and fix them, then when I think it sounds good enough, upload it
All kinds of music is good, but I think Karaoke is the best!

I like a wide variety of music but the ones a particularily like are the ones that can really remind you of the past....I remember watching/listening to Captain and Tennille, Sonny and Cher, and Donny and Marie Osmond. Then for some reason these types of shows disappeared...and then ABBA swept in....and...OMG...The Bay City Rollers. A new war started after that as Disco got killed by Rock; which was then challenged by Funk..which then took a turn into becoming Hip-Hop and House (oh btw Rock lived on as it always will - funk never stood a chance)....and now it seems we have a fusion of everything. Wow! What an amazing transition..try listening to the Carpenters...and then throw in Metallica...to the Stars on 45....to Air Supply and then to Eminem....and finally closing with Anne Murray...Awesome...LOL!
oh one more for the one hit wonders - my favourite - When In Rome - "The Promise"
