I was at one time a REAL hippie!

But then I was at one time as far right as one could be, as well.

I finally reached a happy median, just leaning left.

Now our current President & Crew are driving me lefter and lefter and lefter. I sure hope I can stop short of becoming a hippie again!

i hear ya royal, i think i've just always been a little rebelious all my life cause my dad was strict military style while i was growing up so i couldn't even say the word hippie without getting knocked down.(he served in vietnam).maybe that's my underlying cause but i've always been drawn to the peace, love and jesus sandals, and i have a 68 camaro named patsy cline but my husband made me park her to restore her and made me drive his vw rabbit gti for about 6 months until i turned 40 and i made him buy me a mercedes benz cuase i hate that damn rabbit. so i really don't know what i am anymore but i look like i stole my mercedes cause i wear ripped jeans and jesus sandals and the hippie shirts.. you can take the camaro from the girl,but you can't take the camaro outta her.lol.. and yes i'm interested in what you said..kindred spirits are my kinda people

(and you didn't have to hear me sing janice joplins version of "oh lord won't you buy me a mercedes benz" for 6 months like he did... that was all i had to do cause i kept hiding the earplugs.

funny thing is as much as i love my "mebe" as soon as we are done restoring the camaro he can have the benz ... i miss my patsy cline. royal you look more like a model or yuppie to me ,i woulda never envisioned you as a flower power type at all. and you are from w.v. i just noticed.. we used to go there (it's a 45 min ride to fancy gap) to watch my son ride bulls.when he was on a bull , trying to hang on ,is when i wish i got into the drug part of the hippie scene. but alas.. i am dingy enough without drugs. thank god..LOL

Well, MANICPANIC, actually I was living in California during my hippie years. But I had to clean myself up during working hours because I really was a model out there. What a coincidence that you should make that statement. You must have some "vibes" left over from the hippie days!
