Jackie, I myself use the ISP, and unfortunately, dial-up is all my $$$ will allow, !! ... have heart, and find somewhere.. a whole lot of " " patience...ooooo,... did I say that??
But, I have noticed that by saving to my desktop...
...then installing from there (provided it doesn't launch on it's own, ie.,casinos)..., right click into properties,.... and running it as administrator....then launch from the desktop shortcut.. I have fewer problems..however..
as far as the Vegas Technology Software... that one seems to be an update that Windows does that gets in the way.. and have yet to nail it down..but the rest of the casino's have yet to be an issue..."KNOCK ON TEFLON-WOOD"...personal thang ya know!
I hope this is of some help to you... Good Luck, Great Fun..and even Larger Winnings @ Cashout-2-spend!!!(gaming humour..he,he, her!)

Excellent advise Bob! Thank you! I've been very fortunate and not had to used dial up for a long time yay!! (OC and patience with dial up is like oil and water LOL)
Whilst reading Bob's post, I remembered one thing that helped me with the frustration of the dial up download blues is when offered, I ordered the Casino CD's and that helped speed things up a LOT for me.
Good Luck hun!!

Jackie ~
I have to contribute my 2 cents worth, even tho you probably already know it.
If you check and see if the casino has a Flash version, you don't have to download at all. With Flash, you just click on your shortcut icon on your desktop, and the casino is there and open in very little time.
I wish you all the luck in the world, my friend. I remember how frustrating dial-up was.

Hi Jackie
I do use dial up and do use Netzero...
As a company Netzero is great ... But it is dial up
You just have to have patience when downloading but once done
Casino's work great....
Only once in a while when there is high traffic on internet do they roll just a little but not much and price is great
Use to have problem when I used aol and earthlink with microgaming but do not even have that now with Netzero
Hope this helps
