July of 2015 Real Time Gaming introduced a new 5 reel 25 line slot game with a cops and robbers theme called Cash Bandits. It has a random progressive jackpot and new type of bonus features.
The symbols are relevant to the theme.
Bank Vault is wild, Cops and Robbers symbol is the scatter and the others include a cop, cash bandit, handcuffs, donut, stack of cash, getaway car, money bag, cop light, handgun and a megaphone, There are no filler cards as are usually found in the games.
Another difference is when you hit the bonus, the cash bandit tries to crack the code to 4 vaults. Three or more cops and robbers badges appear on the reels anywhere triggers the vault feature. A second screen will open and reveals 4 vaults and a keypad. The vaults requires either 1,2,3 or 4 digit codes to unlock it. The number of scatter symbols that appear on the reels to trigger the feature determines the amount of numbers one may select on the keypad.
3 Scatters - 5 keypad selections
4 Scatters - 6 keypad selections
5 Scatters - 8 keypad selections
The initial trigger gives a player 5 free games with a multiplier of 2. Unlocking 1, 2, 3, 4 vaults adds 5, 10, 20, or 50 free games respectively. Prize multiplier also increases by 1, 2, 3, or 4 respectively. Free games can be retriggered automatically adding 5 free games to the current amount won.
Betting is minimal $0.01 to $1 making the max bet $25. One can win $50,000 when betting the maximum.
This game has great graphics and sounds. It has the autoplay option It also has speed adjustments, from 1 to 3. There are 2 progressive jackpots, one minor and one major that can hit at the conclusion of any spin.
I find myself hitting the play button and immediately hitting it again. I have hit the scatters several times doing this. I have no suggestions though for breaking the vaults open.
