Microgaming - 17 Sep 2008

I know this doesn't belong here..I have to ask if anyone knows why I can not install the microgaming software?..I have Vista.& Nortons even if I disable notrons and allow everything I can download the software but it wont install..Can anyone help with this ?..

Well wow I have window vista and norton to and works fine no problem downloading I know when downloading it sometimes it wants to install flash or something are you sure that your pop-up blocker is not on. anothing if you are not the main person on the computer (administrator) it wont allow you to install it unless you right click on the program on your desktop and chose run as adminsitrator. So sometimes you have to download it save it to your desktop and than chose run as adminsitrator than it should worked. Hope this help

and another thing I forgot me my norton is always on I dont disable it and when i try to download a yellow scare pops-up from norton asking me 2 choice one is allow softare to be downloaded I have install this software before and trust it

I still have XP so I'm clueless about Vista.

I know most if not all microgaming casinos will mail you a CD if you request it. I'm not sure if they are compatible with Vista however, but you could ask them. hehee

I'll quit now before I dig myself a deeper hole to fall in. LOL

Hmm alrighty thx for the suggestions I have done the disabling of the Nortons and all the stuff to go with it..but Idont think I had my popup blocker off..and I have a scamblocker on here too..guess I will try to uninstall and reinstall once more..with everything off...its just blowing my mind why I can't get them too work..not a 1 microgaming casino..I have all the other types on here. thx

Cindy don't give up hope hun, I've asked Geno if he'll stop by and see if he can give you any suggestions and I'm going to also ask Mel3 and Bob6188 because I know they both have Vista. So please check back and we'll try to getcha fixed up hun!!

I have a couple of questions - are you able to download the Install file in the first place or is when you run that, nothing happens (or it hangs?).

If you're not even getting the install file then it is most likely you have pop-ups disabled OR (if using Internet Explorer) then when you follow the download link you might see a Yellow-ish line at the top of the page saying that it's automatically blocked a download and you have to then click on that in order to be able to download.

Of course if you have other Firewall / Anti-Scam etc software that could be obstructing things - so you could try temporarily disabling them and try again.

I use vista and for a bit had problems downloading stuff. Then I figured out that a lot of things you will need to right click on and choose " Open in adminstrator mode " Most of the time that worked for me.

Well i have not really had any problems with the Vista Home Premium and downloads except at the beginning with some rtg casinos but got round that by saving the actual file to my desktop then re-running the download from there, it sorted the problem out and i can download no problem now.

One problem I do have now tho is since last month, i can not install any games at Grand Mondial Casino. so if i want to play there i have to use the flash casino which annoys me due to the lack in game choice. I had no problems installing the casino but the games are not having it at all.
I have cleared cookies re-downloaded etc etc etc but still the same, lol

Like rsable says a lot of the time when you can not get something to install/run. right click and use run as administrator that has worked a lot as well in previous downloads.

Cindy I called a friend of mine that is puter savvy and she told me that in order for her to down load a microgaming casino she has to do exactly what Sable said to do, right click on and choose "Open in adminstrator mode" and she's not had a problem downloading since. She also said Vista sucks. LOL (glad I still have my xp!! ) hehee

I also have Vista Home Premium and had XP before I got Vista.

Now I feel like I have to say a few words in Vista's defense.

At first, I did not like Vista at all. Then after I read some of its online, built in tutorials, and became more used to it, I discovered that it has several advantages over XP. You can really do a lot more with it. More choices in just about every category.

I didn't like XP either after leaving 98.

I think MAYBE it is not the operating systems we don't like, but just the whole idea of change and having to learn something new.

What's worse, I think it's going to get worse as time goes by, so we better start trying to keep up with it all or we will be left stranded like our grandparents are now about anything computer-related.

We were all born just a bit too early, sitemates! LOL!

[b][i] Hello Everyone, Thanks for the suggestions and ur upwords..You all seem soo nice and willing to help I appriciate that..its been a few days since I checked back..I have previously disabled all the crepe..and also ran as administrator, with lil success..It gets so irritating..I have every other casino downloaded its just these stupid microgamming ones driving me nuts..I had another comp with vista and didn't have this problem..so it doesn't make much sense...but I'm gonna give it one more shot..n see what happens...Thanks all for ur input..I will let ya know how it goes..I may just throw this sucker right out the window..grrr..haha

what casino are you trying to download might I ask? That may be the problem, the casino itself.

I know I was told once recently from Everygame Casino that if I ever have a software issue to under no circumstances uninstall. They told me that being in the USA I would not be able to redownload so maybe that is the problem.

Well Piss, poo..n moan. tis what I'd like to do...I can't believe it...Again..nothing Well thats not entirely true...I shut down my whole nortons protection..shut off my pop-up blocker..and spam blocker..went to riverbelle..this is the one I've been trying to get that N Real Vegas Online..U know the tourney's (my big addiction) but anyhow the Sucker actually did the download and Install...THEN as it tried to Open to load and play it popped up and POOF closed out!!!!!! I'm like WTF...C'mon..lol..so tried a few more times allowed advanced settings for the program..and still the same thing closed out...gone..so I tried to get ALL Jackpots...and clicked download...it brings the page..then..say Download FAILED!!! grrr...I hate this comp...thats it....just dont know WTF to do..give up thx..
