Take note of your position in the board and your Last Moves (it will help you not go over the same places unnecessarily wasting valuable moves!
(This is especially helpful if you run into a dead-end and have to go back and find your way back onto a winning path!).
You always start a maze with a specified number of moves - this can be different for each maze. Also, you can earn extra "Time Bonus" moves every H hours (up to T times per 24 hours) where H and T are again different for each maze. You *MUST* have used all your current moves before you return to earn your Time Bonus moves. It is also possible that due to 'swapping' (see below) that you may not be able to use all your current moves and you will need to keep checking to see if another swap has occurred which will then enable you to continue to move.
Read the instructions - you might still be able to win it if you qualify in between and then move back to that space (but you MUST move off it first before you can try re-claiming it!)
There are always prizes dotted around on the way and not so you might want to divert a little and well maybe it's the right way anyway!
Well, if you're stuck in an area where you can move at least one space (and then only backwards for example), you might want to use up your moves so that you get your Time Bonus next time you play (or you might want just to wait a few minutes to see if someone else swaps the maze over so that Walls go to Spaces and vice-versa, allowing you to move further)
You can always draw a grid X by Y spaces as per the grid size shown when you start. The board shows you how many across (X) and down (Y) but this is only fully shown when you start the game. You could use this as a way of making sure you don't back-track to a losing path!
Symbol | Meaning |
Starting Position (click to start). These are always at the left side of the maze and are shown at all the different positions where you can choose to start. Click the Start button to enter.
This is a wall - you can not move through this. If you are on a Space when the maze is swapped (i.e. so your space changes into a wall), you stay in the same position regardless of how many times the maze is swapped over until you move.
Spaces (nothing here). These are empty spaces with no winnings but are needed in order to be able to move around the maze and find the prizes.
This triggers an inversion of the maze. Only Walls and Spaces are swapped (prizes and swap spaces are not changed).
Direction Indicator (Up, Down, Left and Right) - these show where you have been previously (within the viewable section of the maze).
These direction indicators are the ones you can click on to move to that space. If you see no 'MOVE' indicators it is most likely you are surrounded by walls. This can happen when someone lands on a SWAP space (see above). |
|
Question (possible future moves but not at your current position). (Could be a wall, space or prize).
Current Moves (indicator at the top when your current position is shown before you move again).
You can win Free Moves. | |
CC Points Prize (can only be won by the first person landing on it)
VIP points. These are only available if you are a full VIP Member with active accounts.
Cash Prize Spaces look like this |
There are several steps to build the mazes which may help understand when you see the end results ... here are the steps :-
1. Create the maze (name, dimensions - how many across and how many down, and the finish spot - coordinates of across/down), and TYPE .. (Random, Checkered, or Lanes, or All Spaces)
2. Set the winning/jackpot prize at the finish spot
3. Add SWAPS (usually these replace both SPACE and WALL positions) - the number of swaps is determined by the Maze Admin (Geno) but where the swap spaces are placed is completely random. Not all mazes have swaps spaces (usually only those without walls though!)
4. Add the prizes (these can be placed on both Space or Wall positions which are then changed to Prize positions). The number and type of prizes are determined by the Maze Admin (Geno) but where the other prizes are placed is done completely at random.
