ok quick question about the swap spots listing...i saw those and i noticed that 3 of them say "N" and one says "Y" under time elapsed.....my question is the "N" would mean that time has not elapsed onit so it should be available to swap?

simbrock,
Thanks for your suggestion - in fact that is already something that we CAN do (and will do once we have the full version ready).
Also, I've made it such that we can link mazes - so that once one is completed (won by a member), it will automatically open the next one.
We could have the system send you emails/PMs for both cases
As for your hitting a Swap space - well - it's all part of the game - and well if I hadn't interrupted by playing a couple of goes myself it would have probably worked out better but well , what is done is done .. I'll not interfere in the games any more

LOL I guess that would make sense - if I can then I will do that - just to even things up ... .. then - no more after that one - I've done enough damage already lol..
I have now moved and therefore cancelled out the first swap I did..
THOSE THAT ARE STUCK - PLEASE MOVE NOW.. IF THE SPACES GET SWAPPED AGAIN .. IT'S NOT ME AND I'M NOT PLAYING ANYMORE - I ALREADY FEEL BAD FOR 'TRYING TO HELP' EARLIER LOL..

Well, this is probably something that's more to do with the way swaps are handled (technically speaking).. so I'll try explain best I can..
If a Swap space is landed on and it causes the maze to be swapped over (see below), then the last person to do it by landing on THAT PARTICULAR square, that square (once landed on again) will not cause a swap to happen until the 'swap elapse time per space' has passed (this is set differently for each maze - and is set to 20 minutes per space in the first 'Completely Random' maze).
- So, let's say someone lands on square A -(a swap space) at 9:00am
(that would show in the swap log as 'N' until someone else lands on that square after at least 20 minutes).
- Then, someone else (or even the same person) lands again on square A (the same swap space) at 9:10am.
(they would be told that a recent swap happened too recently for it to happen again - there would be no change and nothing extra would be shown in the swap history - because effectively nothing has happened).
- Someone lands on square B (a different swap space) at 9:11am
(This WOULD result in a SWAP because that square hasn't triggered a swap - it would appear in the swap history with N as Elapsed)..
- Someone landing on square A (the first swap space in this example) at 9:21am would trigger a swap (which would be seen in Swap history with an 'N' next to it), - this would then set the 'Y' as expired in the previous swap that happened from landing on Square A. (and as these squares can be activated again and again, you might well see the same square more than once - but always at least 20 mins apart - for this game).
- Anyone landing on an unused swap space (or one that was last used over 20 mins ago), would trigger a swap of the maze.
- The Swap history will show a 'Y' next to Elapsed once that square has been landed on and been eligible/successfully triggered a Swap.
It may well actually be information overload to be fair.. part of the building useful info during the game (and I appreciate this may be too much)..
The quickest way to look at it really is to just look at 'how many swaps' have happened in the game (just before the table of swaps).
TO MAKE THIS AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE THOUGH:
==> Put simply - There are only 2 'states' of the board - either 'Original' or 'Swapped'.. if the Total number of Swaps is Even then you're playing the 'Original' maze , and if it's Odd - then you're playing in 'Swapped' mode..
The extra information *could* be used "strategically" of course (AND ALSO - THIS INFO MAY BE CHANGED - I might, having thought about it a bit more - remove the 'Y' (elapsed) ones as they don't really provide any useful information as they only go to Y when a new one goes to N for that square.. Hmmm.... (*thinking again* lol)...
Cheers,
Geno/CC

Lol, what happened was, Geno opened a swap space so all that were stuck would have then been able to move but within id say 45 seconds of geno doing this i took my go and landed on a swap place which reversed all the positions back to how they were.
If you didn't get chance to move at all in this time then when checking to see if you can move nothing will have changed on your maze due to how fast the swap back happened. sorry Crushers.
