I remember going shopping on a StreetCar witch no longer excist. tracts gone yrs ago. my girls have never traveled on 1. but that was a good way till busstook over. iwas out at casino todaywith my best friend , and our daughters. our kids grew up together, just like us mons.we talked about 1 of my Mons receipies, and trying to figure it out, im married 18 yrs today to my 2nd hubby rog.but its a sad month for me Mon diedon the 29th and dad died yrs earlier on the 26th. so not a good month i guess. you all have a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, and all the BEST to you all, ty josie46

Once a month was "MY" day, we snuck off to lunch without my sisters or dad.

I dont really have anything in mind specific as their were 7 siblings and a dad so i think the basic rose and dale would plant it for her and after losing her the end of 2009 i still look out the window at the roses that she just really loved..

Went to Las Vegas when I was 19 with my sister, aunt and my mom. Actually got in to Glitter Gulch Casino, played blackjack, and won $150.

The Rides. We used to hop in the car and go to the mountains, the natural springs, anywhere we wanted. Was a lot of fun exploring.

She always let me make her breakfast on mothers day and acted like it was the best breakfast ever.

Mom's 88 and has trouble walking so she lives with me and Hubby but I owe her my great southern cooking talent. I was always in the kitchen with her growing up. By helping her prepare dinner I learned her skills and secrets for being a great cook on a budget.

My mom was my Softball "Assistant Coach". Not that it was always a good thing...LOL ...she was always on me about setting a good example for the other players! And I just wanted to make "All Stars" every year...(which I did) But all in all she was there for every practice and every game for 8 years.

When I was little, my mom used to save the tins from pot pies and whenever she made a pie, she would make enough crust for me and let me put anything I wanted in it. Some of those were pretty interesting pies!! LOL

I don't have any good childhood memories of my me and mom. She didn't like me then. As adults, we have worked things out enough to have a relationship and now she doesn't really remember too much. All is as good as it's gonna get.

ty Josie for your comment. We do have a pretty good relationship now; she cares a great deal about me. I don't let the past get in the way of that but it's hard to completely forget.

I dont remember much, but the one thing that makes me laugh when i do recall it, is when i'd get sick. My mother would rub vicks all ove rmy chest and with a soft cotton baby diaper she'd snuggle it under my pjs and out the neck. She would always say, :Look down your shirt and spell attic".. LOL I do the same with my daughter now.

The best memory of my mother is the day she took me to buy my wedding dress. i realize that I was an adult at the time, but it was one of the best days ever.
