May 2009 - Tell Us About ... Contest

Okay . . . music is a tough one, because I like every kind of music there is, except for violent rap. I like the oldies when I'm feeling nostalgic, and I like techno when I'm out at a club. Classical is a must when I'm driving through the mountains of Virginia. Mostly, though, I like to sit and play my guitar, and sing my own songs.

My favorite music is dance music...anything modern and current.

Possibly one of the best albums ever made in the whole wide world, in my humble opinion

I like some of all kinds of music....except Polka...Oh, and Barry Manilow. I really like "Classic" rock a lot because when I heard it, it was just plain rock music. I went out to clubs a lot in the 80's, so I like a lot of dance music from that era. I like music that makes you want to move, no matter what kind or where it is from. The Rolling Stones are definitely 1 of my favorite bands. I have 3 must haves for my collection - Led Zepplin IV, Faith by George Michael ( "I Want Your Sex" was my favorite dance song for a long time) and Purple Rain by Prince. I think that Prince is my favorite artist.....most days anyway.

This is really a hard question to answer in a couple of words. Great contest though!!

I love music of any kind . Boy there are a bunch I like . I love to dance so any thing goes for me . Love some thing fast to dance to proud Mary is a good one . But the love songs are great AAron Neville Is awesome to slow dance to , too .

I love all kinds of music except hard core metal and some hard core rap - I guess I love things I can dance to and/or sing to! I love classic rock which is why I think must haves include the Eagles, Tom Petty, and of course, the Beatles!

Wow, finally I get to tell someone how much I am insanely crazy about Chicago!!! I fell in love with them when I was 7 years old(let me tell ya, that was a long time ago! ) in Korea,what that means, I didn't even speak English to understand but Richard Gere and Chicago became my heros and one of biggest reason why I came to America to marry Richard Gere Well, I am now married to NON-RICHARD GERE, THERE IS NONE, NOTHING LIKE RICHARD GERE IN THIS HUSBAND OF MINE! but hey,I dreamed once at least. Ever since I never skip my days without my Chicago...I just love them so much.

I mostly listen to Hardcore Metal (Black, Death, Thrash...the harder, the BETTER!!) In fact, I was a frontwoman (and played guitar or bass) for a couple of metal bands while in high school. I still play my guitar and rock out these days. Maybe this time, I finally get my big break!

Secondly, I like Classic Rock (mainly Led Zeppelin), and when I want to mellow out or go back to memory lane...'70s and 80's Pop and Classic R&B (mainly Prince...I absolutely love him!!!!!)

When I'm out clubbing, Electronic Dance and House. Absolutely no remixes for a Hip/Hop or Rap song! No Rap or Hip/Hop period!! I hate it!

When I REALLY want to be mellow or when I'm reading or doing artwork: Classical!

I am a e Rock & Roller at heart,But I also enjoy the oldie's but goodie's,Disco back in the day was great too!! The kind of music to were you have to Get down & boggie all night!!! Whaaa Hoooo

Music has to make some sort of sense for me to appreciate it. I like all types of music. The song itself will get my attention when there is some sort of story line that either i can understand or relate with. For instance , The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, The day the music died, Stan (by eminem), bedtime story (slick rick) I will survive, bohemian rapsody, etc..
songs like horse with no name... in the garden of eden,,, and rap songs that contain derogatory insults towards woman or people in general is not considered music to me.
Oh and the music that is continously playing at my work over and over again is more of a torture treatment than music...LOL so whomever is in charge of the music at my store...please change the cd for goodness sakes! Celine Dion at 6:00 a.m. is not an energizing song for the employees to get motivated with.LOL

Marjo-never heard his music but WOW! I'll give him a listen Depeche Mode is good too, haven't heard them in a while. Of course, the 80's music..how could I have overlooked that in my post?
