May 2009 - Tell us about ... Contest

Hello Crushers!

One of my favorite contests we've had here at CC is "Tell us about Yourself" and its been over a year since we've had that contest so when I seen Gloria's contest suggestion, I was excited!

In Gloria's post she said ...

"I thought it would be a great way for everyone to get to know each other better. Also, new members (especially the shy ones - like me) would have a place to post something right away. I think they would feel welcome, like they belong here. That is what I wanted when I was new and I remember feeling and thinking that nobody was really interested in whatever I had to say. This would let them know that is not the truth. Then people would get to know our "family" a little bit right away and realize that we are much more than just a place to find bonuses."

We're going to try Gloria's contest idea out and have 2 contests per month, one from the 1st to the 15th and the second one from the 15th to the end of the month. Everyone that makes a post will be placed into a random drawing and we'll have 1 x $30 prize each contest.

Crushers, please tell us ... What is your favorite kind of music to listen to and why? Is there a particular music album do you think is a "must have" in all homes?

RULES

Everyone that makes a post will have their names placed into a random drawing where we will give away 1 x $30 prize.

You will need 3,000 cc-points to redeem for the $30 cash prize. If you do not have enough CC points to redeem, you'll be credited with 3,000 CC points instead - so next time you win, you'll be able to redeem your CC points for the cash prize.

I personally dont have a favorite kind of music. I pretty much like a little bit of everything depending on my mood. If I had to choose one though it would be dance music. I really like songs that are upbeat because they always seem to put me in a good mood.

Ok I'll bump this post up so everyone can see and my favorite music is the "oldies". Weren't the "oldies" when I was growing up they were "newies" then. LOL The reason I like the Old Rock and Roll is because I know all the words to the songs. LOL

My must have album I think is Donna Summers 2nd album "Love to Love you Baby" All 16 minutes and 48 seconds of Love to Love you Baby and definately not a "family" song. hehee

OK Barry just said the must have album is "Abbey Road" by the Beatles .... pfffttttt LOL

Well i don't have a particular genre of music i listen to, there is quite literary music i like and music i don't like.

Having said that, i think that Pink Floyd s - Dark Side Of The Moon is an absolutely must have album in everyone's home

I am one of those that like s almost all music depending on my mood.

I love Oldies Soft Rock, Mowtown, Big Band, and a lot from before I was born.

I like Trance, Dance and New Age, Country and the list goes on.

What I don't like is Acid Rock, Metallica and Most but not ALL Rap.

I like jazz but only some it ....

As far as albums go I own a lot have some favorites... I love Albums with music from Movie Themes, TV themes, Classical and I do have a ton of Elvis ones lol.

I consider myself very diverse in music. But I really can't pinpoint any particular album I like so many.

Well the album everybody should have in their home, besides the Beverly Hillsbillies special release album from 1968 (I really have one....lol) is Carole King's Tapestry album....as for my favorite music, maw and I love to listen to Barry Manilow....and that doesnt necessarily mean i am gay...LMAO

I sort of favor Country but also listen to a lot of soft rock and oldies. Having said that, my must have album is Bob Seger's Greatest Hits.
