March 2009 - Luu Contest - $600 - $1000 Of Prizes!

Dear Crushers,

I'm very sorry but I'm now REMOVING the LUU contest for March due to the actions of a few that have decided to go against our many many previous requests (which have come from many other members also) about posting more than 2 consecutive promos in the No Deposit section AND BUMPING their own posts (sorry but it's so obvious when you reply to your own topics)..

Anyway, I'm sorry but I'm getting sick of asking nicely and whilst I appreciate your placing banners (hence the rewards of the whole LUU thing - it's looking like people are starting to 'try it on' again)..

So, for this month (March) - LUU has now been cancelled.

If I see those offenders posting in a better way then I will re-enable it next month otherwise I will come up with some other way of rewarding members for 'quality' of posts.

Sorry guys and gals but I can't spend all day repeating myself to members about repeat posting and bumping...

Hopefully the lack of LUU will make you stop

Geno do you not think this is unfair on the people who are not doing the duplicate posts etc, why can't the people doing it just be removed from the contest instead of everyone being punished,

Just my opinion but every crusher shouldnt be punished for the doing of some,

Its sad it has come to this, as i try to post imaginative posts about new promos, which means i do not post that often, but when i do i know im sticking to the rules.

Its a shame the few offenders get to ruin it for the majority.

I hope this convinces them to change their ways

GENO, If it was me how messed things up here don't band the other LULUers just band me . I don't always read all that I am suppose to read so I must be the one who messed things up . Just band me from the LuLu contest not the others . If I could delete my post I would . I am sorry to all the crushers here if I was the one who messed it all up . I will not do the LuLu contest any more . I have a bad habit of posting all the no deposits I can . Because if someone new comes into the forum they can have the opportunity to use that free chip just as we all could use a free chip some days . I also think it brings in new members to a forum to post and post it makes your forum look very busy and interesting to others to come take a look at . I know you all think that they are repeats but NOT to a new Crusher it isn't . And by the looks of it this forum is growing every day . Yes there are a few that complain about repeats but look at it both ways . Some use the post for a good thing and others have already gone from forum to forum looking for those free chips only that is why they are old codes to them , and not to others . I did not mean no harm . I am sorry all you Crushers I did not mean this to happened . I just enjoy helping others and keeping active with a forum . So Please Geno do not band all the Crushers Just Band me . I am a block head and I will learn . Maybe the hard way is what will do it for me . Thanks for your your replies so far and yes I do appreciate that it's not fair on everyone else and slotmom - it's not just you that has been doing it

It's just got to a point where (from many other forum members feedback before when we do contests to ask people what they think / what they like / dislike) - there were so many saying the same thing about no deposit bonuses being repeated.

Of course I agree that it is always good to see them for new people but generally speaking new people are able to search through the pages of the first forum - if they want a no deposit bonus that bad - they will go past the first page many many times

I am going to work on some new possible ways of doing LUU perhaps having an 'authorised' LUUer participant group for those that agree to keep to the rules - the rest can do as they wish (up to a point of course) - if people are filling up the no deposit forum with all their own topics, bumping them (i.e. replying to your own topics to bring them up) etc, then I will have to consider that this is also perhaps not fair to other members..

Remember it's a community and everyone can share as well as give but it's not very community spirited when individuals cover the no deposit area with their posts only. (All I've asked is to wait between a few posts for someone else to have a chance).

Anyway, for now I'm sticking by leaving it for March, but once I've had a bit more of a look and identified who I consider to be the main offenders I may just exclude them from this month's and then start a new way next month or perhaps try again with something completely different with regard to how the contest works.

I don't like spending lots of time whining about this but I'm only doing it because I believe (based on lots of member feedback) that this type of content is not as appreciated as those over-posting may think.

Why I am perplexed.. Okay, remember the month when we "visited" this issue and Geno made the extended rules?

Doesn't anyone else remember that it was, if memory serves me right, 1 of the BEST LUU CLICKS month ever??
There was more Bonuses earned, more earmarks/numbers met, so more Ca$h prizes were paid to more people.

I think this SUCKS and is unfair, but that is only my opinion ...I usually take the funds I win from LUU and put it back into the Casinos, but of late I've had to take any winnings and put it towards household stuff as times are tough...

The above is two of three reasons I enter the LUU Contest and the third is to help out and participate at CC....

ok ill add my usual opinion again ....i come here as its the best damned forum out and its great fun with great members...if i have an offer(and i would never post one thats posted every other day) ill post it but i post it for people to see and benefit from and also as it would help keep the forum going...but personally i couldnt care less if i got an luu click for it or not...i won on luu once a few months back which is the only time and it was a lovely surprise but id never keep posting to try and win again as thats the last thing i think of when i come on here...and im here a lot lmao(god i need a life dont i lol)...but anyway the reason im posting is because i think its kind of sad that we are going through this again....its also not great that some members are feeling bad and are upset that theyve annoyed people...at the end of the day i feel thatwe should get back to making this forum the best there is and the reason why we all come here...and if geno cancels this months luu then so be it i dont see why anyone would mind that they dont have a chance of winning for one month..after all most of the regulars on here will have won cash prizes before at some time and some win them every month so if for one month you dont then its not the end of the world..after all tell me anywhere else that would give away as much cash every month to its members

OMG I am so very sorry I am guilty of bumping posts to keep them near the top of the list for a lil' while by replying when I can and am sorry b/c I should have known this if I had read the warning posts put up by geno. I didn't ever read the post b/c I assumed by reading the subject line that I knew what it was about. I was wrong to assume it was just to stop people from making redundant postings. I have never bumped my posts for a long period and really feel shttty I'm so sorry guys. I love the LUU contest and am ashamed to be one who's to blame for this.
