IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR US LOCATED ECOCARD CUSTOMERS:

In response to recent publicity about the use of EcoCard for online gambling purposes EcoCard would like to draw its US located customers attention to the Terms of Service they have previously agreed to, and in particular, Section 8 – International Use, which clearly states;

yes, - it looks to me like they are just 'covering themselves' legally having seen what has happened with Neteller.

It's nice they are pointing you to those terms - that is for your own protection and for your then to decide whether or not what you are doing is illegal.

At the end of the day, if people want to gamble fully legally online where it is currently banned or being made difficult, it's a government issue - something that you would hope that 'the voters' can apply pressure if they are willing.

Many people in the industry (including affiliates non-US as well as USA based) are trying to explain the benefits of regulating rather than prohibition - and hopefully if everyone chips away at it we'll get there.

I can't tell you whether or not you can gamble - that is something that each individual has to understand depending on where they live etc etc.

I'm not sure how the good ole DoJ might look at a bank processing gambling transactions - I'm sure the bank would get some penalty for that, but not sure if the individual gambler that initiated the transaction might then be exposed and possibly sued by the bank?

Question Have USA players been getting any changes to the terms and conditions regarding the use of their banks accounts? (or of course it may already be in there).

Sorry, can only suggest and give opinions on this 'wait and see' subject wink

Idea USA players - I would suggest you find out where you might stand if your bank finds that you have used the account via an eWallet to fund gambling. I expect this won't be a simple answer so I wouldn't like to speculate.

Cheers,
Geno/CC

PS. MOVING TO THE GAMBLING PAYMENT METHOD FORUM wink
