It looks as if the money has been returned to the jackpot as it now stands at $230,000 +. Therefore the casino does not pocket the money themselves but someone, sometime will win it.

Well at least that seems fair enough to me, the casino gets publicity, Mike get some well deserved reward for his admirable way of dealing with this situation, someone can genuinely win the Jackpot and the Rival Casino's have learned a better way of handing out free credits on Progressive Slots in the future.
