Hello Crushers..

Since Mothers Day is on the 13th of May..I thought you could tell us a a favorite childhood memory of something you and your Mom did together when you were a child..

RULES

Everyone that makes a post will have their names placed into a random drawing where we will giving away 2 x $15 prizes.

I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME THAT MY MOTHER AND I SHOPPED FOR A GOWN FOR THE PROM. I WANTED A GOWN THAT WAS KIND OF THE RUN OF THE MILL BUT MY MOM HELPED ME PICK OUT A MORE CLASSY GOWN.

my favorite mother and me memory is every spring we would plant a flower garden together. then once a week all summer we would tend to it together.

The ONLY good memory I have is a shopping trip after I got my first paycheck from delivering newspapers. I bought a pair of white bell-bottomed hip-huggers! LOL

hmmm I dont have many good childhood memories. My mother and I did not become very close until I reached adulthood. But in those times my husband and I loved going bowling with her. We would get a pitcher of beer or 2 or 3 LOL and just laugh and have a great time, even if we couldn't bowl worth a darn LOL

Besides going back to school at 35 to become a Nurse while raising a family and Me

She was also a Great Seamstress ...

For maybe a month I watch her make a beautiful dress - telling her how pretty it was .

Well on Easter Morning I Was Told To Close My Eyes

And when I opened them. There Was The Dress and It Was For Me

She Was A Great Woman and Is Missed Very Much

It was our tradition for my mother and I to get up early on a Saturday morning to hit the garage sales in the Spring and Summer. We also did a lot of mall shopping. Hopefully, we could do it all over again once she moves back to Davenport, IA in July (she hadd been living in Indy since 2005).

Never did anything special together.With 11 kids she was much too busy cooking and cleaning for us all.We did always say the rosary together every night.
