As soon as the people of the world start comparing notes with one another, the governments will be in trouble! LOL! It's such a dynamic and volatile time we're living in... and it's history in the making.
If only poor Al Gore hadn't 'invented' the web... LOL!

Hi all...
It's 2:15am and I'm awake... as usual... and will do my best to answer the questions without sounding like a man in need of sleep (I can sleep when I'm dead! LOL!)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Questions: "...the Senator from Mass. that thinks this gambling law is ridiculous, does he pull any weight as far as being able to overturn this legislation?"
Ya know, I had never heard of him until this happened. But from what I hear from people who know his work, he is not to be taken lightly. Some say he is aggressive, others that he is crazy. I don't really care if he's loony as a fruit bat if he can help our cause... and right now any exposure is good exposure, IMHO.
The mass media already makes us out to be criminals, terrorists, and addicts... any exposure to the contrary is a plus.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Question: "And also, do you advise us online gamblers to write him expressing our views?
It couldn't hurt... I dunno if it will make a difference, but it couldn't hurt. I plan on contacting his people next week... but I don;t expect he will actually speak with me.
Remember what his position is in Washington: The Chair of the House Banking Committee. To me, his aggressive speaking out against this bill is saying that the banks here in the US do not like this new law and don't want to be forced to police these transactions... but I could be wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Question: "I play at pokerstars, any information or opinion?"
I played there a few times... and personally didn't like the software. Others I've met love the place. I guess it's a personal preference =0)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Question: "...do you know what intentions, if any, the Australian Government has taken to restrict us Aussies from online gambling?"
It is my understanding that online gambling in Australia is not cool with the local authorities, unless state sponsored like with Lasseters. I also think that there are some mild restrictions in place, but honestly I'm not certain. I do have many good Aussie friends in online gaming and I could ask around for you.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Observation: "HEY!!!! I LOVE THIS MAN!! He drinks PEPSI!!!!"
Yea... but I'm just looking to pick up a few extra bucks from sponsorship deals and product placements! LOL!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Drunken Observation: "...not to mention he is soooooo cute!"
After you have a couple of beers I'm downright irresistable.... lol...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Observation: "...all these people from different countries trying fight the same battle over the freedom to play games online and it really is history in the making!!!!"
Yup... and remember what I have always said: This fight is about so so SO much more than online gaming. Sure, we want to play, and that's how this fight started. But this is really about the governments control of our lives... about hypocrisies... about special interest politics... about corporations running the country...
A government of the people, by the people, and for the people?
Not these days.
