Posted: Sun Jul 15, 2007 1:25 pm How To Make Homemade Bailey's Irish Cream
I have been trying to add the recipe below to the section on the board
under member recipes but it keeps coming back debug error can not post.
Are members no longer allowed to post articles in there...???
Thanks Recipe is below for now until I can add it to the correct place lol
HOMEMADE BAILEY'S IRISH CREAM
1 3/4 c. Irish whiskey (or any whiskey Irish just tastes like the real one)
1 can condensed milk (EG eagle or fussles)
1 c. whipping cream or skimmed milk
4 large eggs
2 tbsp. chocolate syrup
2 tbsp. instant coffee (use powder coffee)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract (optional) use tiny bit of sugar instead
tbsp=tablespoon
tsp=tea spoon
Sift the eggs and coffee before adding to the other ingredients
Mix all ingredients in blender.
Once made leave in the fridge overnight as it's best served well chilled.
Serve over ice.
Due to this containing fresh ingredients the shelf life is no longer than
3-4 days. (Not that it ever lasts more than a day in our house)
Add more or less whiskey, to taste.
This will make about 1 and a half litre bottles and is a lot
stronger than the shop product and a lot cheaper.
I love Baileys so always make plenty of it, and i have never had any
complaints.
