AL Keller left furniture residential furniture business January 2005 after acquiring Paragon Door Designs. They no longer have parts for any Keller furniture. They began by manufacturing spokes for wagon wheels, then complete wheels, and finally the wagons themselves around 1900. By 1931 Keller wagons were showing up China, The Philippines, and New Zealand as well as Europe, Russia and South Africa. By 1942 Keller was phasing out of the wagon business to make room for tractors and interstates. Like many companies, Keller survived the war years by producing needed supplies for the war effort. Among other things, they made walk-in ice boxes for Army kitchens, and Army vehicle bodies for General Motors. Small world isn't it? Following the war, Keller used its vast experience to quickly retool for peace and began making solid wood furniture.
