Earn More Cc Points By Referring More Members!

You may have noticed a new little button appeared in the forum when you're viewing things, and a new "Top Referrals" link at the top of the page.

Well, this little button can be used to refer new members.

But, before you click, please see below on how to use it:

YOU MUST ONLY USE THE REFER BUTTON BELOWONE OF YOUR OWN POSTS otherwise someone else will get credit.

In order to use it RIGHT-CLICK it and Copy Shortcut and paste it in an email to the buddy you wish to refer. That's it! When they signup they will be signed up under you.

OR simply look in your own profile page (via Members link at top of page), and you can see your referral link at the bottom.

The number of new members you've referred will appear in your profile (but you can only see this if you go to "Members" and then click on your own user name.

IMPORTANT:
The referral system is a bit flaky (sorry) in that it only works if they sign up after clicking your link - NOT if they browse the forum first and then click on register, so please ask them if they're going to browse first and then register that they re-click on your link to register. Sorry but correcting this right at the moment will just take too much time but I will try to improve it in the future.

If you're one of the top ten referring members - you'll be in the Top Referrals scoreboard.

At the end of each month, the top 5 referring members will each be rewarded extra cc points as follows:
#1 - 1000 ccpoints
#2 - 500 ccpoints
#3 - 250 ccpoints
#4 - 250 ccpoints
#5 - 250 ccpoints

These will be added and you'll receive a PM (Private Message) telling you.

This referral thing is kind of new to the site so please let me know if you have any problems with it.

This topic is now closed as LoveMe2 won the referral contest and well we've had some problems with the referral thingy.. please see the contest on referrals for details of what we are going to do from now on (just credit at our discretion mystery points for people signing up letting us know who referred them). Sorry - we didn't want to have to do that but fixing the issue would pretty much involve re-writing the whole board which I can't do.. without impacting the time I'd have to do promos for you lovely people - I know which I prefer doing and hopefully you'll agree
