Repeat Postings - 03 Jan 2010

I thought repeated posting was a no no. Come on, people are reposting old bonus everyday. It's irritating when you read " new n/d bonus and it's just another repeated old post. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

I have been wondering why something hasn't been said about this sooner actually. I know that new rules were set in place because this sort of thing was getting out of hand before, and by the looks of things lately it is getting out of hand again. I think some people are just trying way too hard to get LUU clicks, but if the staff look back over the forum they will be able to see who is following the rules and who isn't. If this is done its just going to get some people banned from doing LUU so maybe next time they will follow the rules.
I know personally I have saw a few good LUU'ers who do follow the rules not posting lately and it wouldnt surprise me that the reason why is because they are frustrated with what they are seeing and how the rules are not being followed.
I know this is a touchy subject and anytime it is brought up "tension" seems to arise, but there is an easy solution. Follow the rules put in place or suffer the consequences. From the looks of it geno hasn't banned anyone from LUU for breaking the rules in a while and maybe because of that some people have forgotten that it was done before.
Thanks iriedreaming for bringing up the subject because I have been biting my tongue about it for some time now.

I should also add that I personally only see repeat posting by 3 people who I will not name, and I really hope that these people don't ruin it for the rest who are doing a good job and following the rules.

IThis probably is not the right section of the forum to discuss this but I agree. Furthermore it can be very frustrating also for those of us with a slow internet connection to wait for a page to load only to find that it is the same info previously read.

well you know how i feel about this lol so wont comment...but as you will have seen ive stopped posting many offers as at moment place is getting flooded again...when i did post before i always gave a few weeks in between but these days it seems as soon as an offer goes of 1st page its posted again wether theres 2 days or 2 weeks since last posted

I always try not to do repostings, and I do scan the previous postings before I make a new post. I ran into a problem a couple of times when I saw farther on down the forum that same no deposit casino was listed. When that happened, I just pm's Geno to let him know what I did and he removed the post.

every time I find a no deposit through my email, someone else has already posted it (sometimes up to six or seven hours before me).

I guess because I live on the West Coast and my time zone is one of the last ones on the forum, I am last to receive my daily emails.

I have asked about casino's getting reposted after i first signed up.I didn't understand why things were getting repeated and i was told as long as it is on page 2 of the thread that it is ok to repeat that post.that was told to me by a staff member,so am assuming it's valid.to me i think it should have to wait longer.I am guilty of running past posts of casino's signup bonuses only for those who my not already have an acct. there.the only reason why i did them was because they were not on 1st.page so it wasn't a repeat.sorry if i got anyone upset.but i did notice 2 people have posted the same casino and bonus code for same place and they both are still running back to back last time i checked.

to clear it up so there is no understanding...being on 2nd page etc doesn't matter...rules clearly state that posts should have a certain length of time before reposting and members should post a max of 2 offers in a row.... think to save misunderstandings between members they should all actually go and read the rules...they are on 1st page of each months luu competition

ok heres genos rules.....maybe it would be of interest for all members to reread it before this breaks into the usual war....please note in particular 2 posts in row....no need to be on front page...and i particularly like the bit about leaving time in between reposting an old offer...here goes Dear Crushers,

For another time, it's been brought to my attention that our No Deposit forum particularly is being covered and covered with 'the same old offers' again and again.

Whilst there is some merit in having them re-posted AFTER A WHILE (like a month or so), there really is no point in 'battling to be on the first page'..

HERE ARE THE FACTS:

- Any NEW gambler looking at the No Deposit page can quite easily go through the pages to find new ones - which if that is what they are after - they will do!

- ALL posted topics (old and new) get LUU clicks and many topics are found via the search engines too and of course keep there.

- IF YOU MAKE TOO MANY DUPLICATE POSTS - it REDUCES the possibility of them being found in search engines (as they see it as try to spam keywords/subjects etc).

Now, I've politely asked those doing this a lot to 'be sensible' and not imposed any posting bans or limits HOPING that people will 'be sensible'..

This is the last chance before I do start imposing limits AND/OR banning members from taking part in the LUU contests.

So, here's the new rules:
If you're posting an 'old' (ie. something you or another member has posted before) in the No Deposit forum, ONLY POST A MAXIMUM OF 2 IN A ROW before posting further offers.

This gives everyone a better chance and doesn't make our No Deposit forum look like a place where people are battling against each other but instead - being all about giving genuine NEW and UPDATED information as and when it comes available.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE OTHER FORUMS LINK-US-UP AREA - WHERE WE ASK YOU TO TELL US ABOUT OTHER FORUMS WHERE YOU'VE LINKED TO US FROM.
NOW, the OTHER FORUMS LINK UP is fine to post lots of things one after the other. Because the only purpose of that forum is for members to advise US (the staff) where they have posted links for us at other places. I'm not sure why any other members would want to read that forum lol..

For links to other forums, I don't want to place limits on this, because it really helps us. Of course you should always abide by the terms of the forums you are posting at. Thing is, many members know of different places and ALL valid posts will earn the bonus CC points for LUU.

Also, the Coupons area is only postable to by authorised Coupon Coder members, and this may well result in having many of the same members posting in succession..

ok i went and read about final warning of repeat posters and it says we should wait at least a MONTH or so before reposting of a casino.that there is NO battle for front page.I don't think i repeated a casino signup bonus that was recantly posted.i'll go double check and if so have it removed.also i would like to point out on some of those bonus codes you need to be careful your not posting another sites code,cause i seen 1 and i got same code in a email from another site,am not sure exactly how they work but it looks to me that bonus code was for there site.I could be totally wrong though.

LOL i was not directing that at you shirls...was just posting it as you will not remember but it was me that brought this subject up about ayear ago and all hell broke loose...just trying to avoid same thing happeneing again

well i joined the luu for few months running but hvent for the last couple of months as i can't get a bonus code in every time i was going to, i search for it first and there was always at least 2 of them from within the last 2 weeks so i gave up trying ill let someone else have the glory this is the only casino forum im a member of and it serves all my casino needs with or without the luu clicks

I guess I always assume the person repeating just didn't see the other post...hmmm I guess that's just how I approach things.

But, wouldn't it just be easier if when we posted we put the name of the casino, the amount, and whether or not its for new players? Then if you saw the title, you would know if the offer had already been claimed by you. I don't know, just a suggestion - would it be helpful?

And I agree Ega! CC is such a wonderful place to be and has so much going on all the time! It's always fun here!
