Hello Crushers!

Do you have a family tradition at Christmas time that you follow? Mine is opening presents Christmas eve and leaving Christmas day for the kids to enjoy what Santa brought them.

Rules

Everyone that makes a post will have their names placed into a random drawing where we will give away 1 x $5 prize.

You will need 500 cc-points to redeem for the $5 cash prize. If you do not have enough CC points to redeem, you'll be credited with 500 CC points instead - so next time you win, you'll be able to redeem your CC points for the cash prize.

Contest will end December 20th, 2015 midnight EST

**It is important to remember you must have accumulated a total of at least $20.00 in contest wins between Casino Crush, Poker Crush and/or Bingo Crush before you will be paid your cash prize.

We used to have many Christmas traditions, but now not so much as everyone grows up and has their own families etc. But we always used to go to my Grandparents on my dad's side for Christmas Eve, to celebrate with all our relatives on his side, and then Christmas morning, we celebrated with everyone from my mom's side of the family.

On Christmas morning, we competed with our cousins to be the first to call and wake up our grandparents, because that was whose house they would go to first, and we always won. After opening the presents Santa left under the tree and all the gifts we all had for each other, we always went out to breakfast at this nice hotel we had in our town called the Camelot that was built to look like a castle, which I always thought made us special!

There were plenty more, but we really don't do any of those anymore. All the kids are grown with their own kids now, and seems like everyone is starting traditions of their own that are different from the ones I grew up with. Guess they have to start somewhere!

Nowadays, one of the few things we do every year is rent a limo about a week before Christmas and jam as many of our family members as they will allow into it and take it on a tour of Christmas light displays around town. The kids love it and so do the old folks.

My mother has mostly taken over the role my grandmothers played in my childhood, and is always the host for most of the holiday dinners and gatherings. I think keeping the traditions is important to her, and she really puts a lot of effort into everything. Family is THE thing to her, I think.

I didn't ever get married or have children, so without a new family of my own, I don't get as involved as my mom would like probably. My sister and brother though have a whole slew of kids between them, so that kind of makes up for my not having any!

I hope everyone tries to keep their family traditions alive as much as they can! If you don't, you'll surely miss them when you get old! But at least you'll still have your memories!

we just have cinnamon rolls and they check out their stockings first then after dad and I have a cup of coffee we start handing out the rest of the gifts

we are making ornaments for the tree on christmas eve and having dinner. we arent buying presents this year, well the grandbabies will get gifts...if that man in a red suit shows up..LOL.
seriously though even the grandbabies arent getting spoiled this year, only crazy part of this year so far is getting all the ornament making stuff together. and on christmas day we usually just stay home and relax. Merry Christmas Crushers!!

guess the only tradition we have continued through out the years is our KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) dinner. The less time spent in the kitchen the more time spent with family so we have steak, potatoes and a salad.
