Funny you should ask that question. Last month we cleaned out my parents storage unist that they have had since the mid 60's. I found the old aluminum tree we use to put up. The one that had a rotating light that lit it up, green, red and blue. It sure brought back memories. It was too shabby to use any more...and what a shame. I looked it up on Ebay and one had just sold for $ 420.00. I guess others wanted to relive the old memories too.

When I was a kid we always bought the tree but after I married we always went out and cut one down until the boys were grown. Now its the same ole artificial tree every year.

I'm a army brat so it usually depended on where we were statiioned, Panama is the where we had x-mas in Feb. when our gifts arrived by boat through the Canal. We always had a fresh tree whenever we could.

When I lived with my mom and step-dad, they didn't celebrate Christmas, so no tree. When I was younger and lived with my great grandparents, we always had a real tree, and I'm pretty sure they bought it, I don't ever remember going and cutting one down. And although my Pap was a tough old guy, he was in his 70s when I was born and I lived with them til I was 9-so he would have been in his 80s, which is pretty old to be swinging an axe. So I'm going to go with bought, and we buy one now, too. When the kids are a bit bigger, though, I would like to go out and cut one down one of these days. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Never had a real tree....my parents bought one of those fake plastic build your own tree back in the 70s...it'll be with us and used for life!!!

the first couple years we allways had a real one but after a while my mom said thats it, all the needles on the floor and vacuum every day so since then my parents allways bought a tree and every year we had a different color christmas tree
