Day ermm 2 of Geno's contests (OMG I nearly forgot how to count to two lol)..

Talking of 'counting' just made me think about the expression 'counting my lucky stars'.

There have been a number of times in my life when something lucky has happened to me for no apparent reason but just very good and very surprising. Something like a big win, something from work going extra well for me, meeting someone special - those kinds of things...

Whilst I'm actually a fair believer in 'fate', these things would often be referred to as 'luck' rather than something that was just meant to be..

So, my question today is this...

What was, in your opinion "the luckiest" thing to ever happen to you, with as much info as you're willing to share. AND/OR did it change your life / your perception of things?

Seperation from my husband..........It changed mine & my kids lifes & for the better.......I thank my lucky stars for turning me in the right direction which was away from him.........lol

It would have to be the day I won $5500. It was April 1996. I hit the 4 numbers in the daily lottery. It was great. Havent won anything that big since. (But I will, someday)

i would have to say the luckiest thing to ever happen to be is the birth of my son,and finding casino crush-hehe

Actually it is hard to pin point one thing because I feel lucky being healthy and having good people around me. But if I have to pick one thing I would say financially when I won $5,000 with a CA lottery scratcher in Aug. 05. Good luck everyone! Thanks for all the fun contests.

As Diasker wrote above I feel very lucky being healthy (and alive) too. One of the most luckiest days in my life (so far ) was the day when my doctor told me I've won a 3 year battle against cancer and I am "officially" healthy again. The other "lucky star day" was last summer when I met my "someone special" who I love very much

Ok mines a strange 1. I was due to take my son to Great Ormand street hospital in London UK the day of the bombings if i had gone as planned we would have been definatley injured. But i feel very lucky that fate was on my side and i didn't need to make the journey.

I was very lucky to come out of a 3 day coma after a suicide attempt. The doctors could do nothing but let nature take corse and hope for the best. I am very lucky.

I THANK MY LUCKY STARS AFTER HUBBY HAVING A BRAIN ANERISM IN 2000 THAT BOTH HIM AND I GOT UP EARLY THAT MORNING AS HE COLLASPED ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR AND I FOUND HIM IN TIME INSTEAD OF IN BED WHERE THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOT HELP FOR HIM IN TIME.

I was with hubby for 12yrs,Started feeling not so good thought I was going thourgh change of life early,well 5mos later my belly was getting bigger,I thought I was just eating too much! It got bigger & bigger& started feeling lil kick's& hiccup's, Its a change allright at age 37 I was finnally going to be a MOM! WOW never used birth conyrol at all for 12yrs.I did not go see Doctor till one week before my daughter Heather's Birth,I was very scared,Here in Vegas if you have no insurace they don't want to know you exist,On Oct.10,2003 I had a very healthy lil girl perfect in every way! Well after 22 hours of HARD LABOR LOL OUCH!!!! Now I have a very happy 2yr old,& Love her to death,I thank god,I never thought I would never be a MOM YEA!!
