I also think that the first person to finish the crossword puzzle correctly should have gotten an extra $5.00.
Reason:
1. for finishing it first.

I had a problem with 46 down also...I hope I found the correct answer...I couldn't think of a better one, so I submitted it and I am hoping for the best. 
Will someone tell me the correct answer when the contest is over? I am curious.
